EFO Funds
Orinda Intermediate School
Students are exploring their talents with electives at OIS.
EFO funding is essential to providing the excellent educational experience
offered at Orinda Intermediate School. This year, EFO will fund 17 elective
sections at OIS, including French and Spanish, Public Speaking, Debate,
Drama, Video Production, Woodshop and Art. EFO fully funds the
Instrumental Music Program, which includes the Jazz Band, Concert Band,
Bulldog Band and String Orchestra. The OIS librarian’s salary, as well as
technology, library materials, and equipment, are also made possible by
your gift to EFO.
“The OIS library program helps students develop 21st century skills
in information literacy and technology, as well as supporting the
students’ ongoing love of literature and reading. Throughout the day,
the library hosts students for reading, studying, collaborating, or
simply exploring their interests, using a variety of media. After hours,
the OIS virtual library continues to support them by providing a variety
of online resources.”
