CELEBRATION 2023
To some, this is your first ever Celebration fundraising event. To
others, you have been faithfully attending Celebration and
supporting CHCA’s mission through this event for many years. To all
of us, it is wonderful to finally be back together at a live event to
“Celebrate” this wonderful community while fueling student
success at CHCA!
It is our prayer that this evening will lend you to reconnect with old
friends and perhaps make some new, laugh a lot, and enjoy
participating fully in the games and auction. The proceeds from this
great evening will directly enhance the CHCA student experience
by broadening access and redefining outcomes. While we won’t all
have a winning NCAA bracket, we will all be winners tonight. CHCA
students, faculty, and programming are immensely blessed by the
generosity of this special community.
Many individuals are involved in making tonight a fun-filled

SILENT & GENERAL
Silent Auction Rules:
AUCTION RULES
1. You may bid on Silent Auction items using your data-enabled smartphone or tablet device.

The Silent Auction opens for bidding when you receive the "Welcome" text inviting you to confirm your name &
begin bidding. The Silent Auction will close 11 hours, & the closing time will be announced at the event & will
be shown on your phone or tablet.
The bidding system will display each item's Value, Next Bid amount, & the Buy It Now price (if it has one). You
can bid the next increment using Quick Bid or set your Max Bid & let the system do the bidding for you. Note:
Max Bid is NOT the same as Buy It Now.
4. You can "watch" items by placing them on your Watch List, but you are not a bidder until you enter a bid.
5.
Only an authorized person may nullify a bid. In the event of a dispute or significant error, notify an auction
official immediately. The decision of the auction official is final.
6. If you are outbid at any point, you will be notified by text message.
7. You can keep an eye on items you've bid on or are watching by selecting the menu button & selecting "My List".
8. As soon as the Silent Auction closes, the highest bid wins. You can check your winnings by viewing "My List".
General Auction Rules:
1. Use only the bid number assigned to you for bidding.
2.
Full payment by the successful bidder if not registered as “express pay” must be made at the time of pick up for
all items purchased. Payment may be made with cash, check (payable to: CHCA Celebration), or credit card.
3. All sales are final & no exchanges or refunds will be honored unless specifically indicated.

Dates & times are to be arranged at the mutual convenience of the donor & the buyer & must be used within
ONE YEAR from the auction date unless otherwise specified or as agreed by donor. To avoid disappointment
please make all vacation and ticket reservations well in advance. Sales & entertainment taxes, security, & cleaning
deposits, when required by the donor, must be paid directly to the donor & are not included in your bid.
Purchasers are asked to respect times stipulated by donors & not request changes. Please contact donors within
30 days of the auction to arrange the date. By his or her purchase, the buyer waives any claims for liability
against either CHCA or the donor of the property or services, & neither CHCA nor the donor is responsible for
any personal injuries or damages to property that may result from the utilization of property or services sold.
