Leadership Recognition 2011 UNITING OUR COMMUNITY AWARD 2011 CAMPAIGN CO-CHAIRS Phil Noble & Lynn Birleffi Phil is a long-time Wyoming journalist and businessman. He has also worked in and around Wyoming State Government. He was a reporter and news correspondent for radio and television stations in Colorado and Wyoming before starting KLEN radio station in Cheyenne, which he owned and operated for almost 14 years. He later worked in the administration for Gov. Dave Freudenthal. Lynn has owned and operated a multi-association company for over 20 years. Her company manages the Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Assoc., Wyoming Retail Assoc., and Wyoming Travel Industry Coalition. She is a former Wyoming legislator and teacher, having also worked in the hospitality industry for ten years before starting her business. Tim and Kathy Joannides Tim, owner of Halladay Motors Inc., began his automotive career in Illinois. He also gained experience in Arizona prior to coming to Cheyenne in 1983. Tim is active in the business community and has served as a board member for the Chamber of Commerce, Cheyenne LEADS, and the Wyoming Auto Dealers Assoc. Kathy, also born and raised in Illinois, has dedicated years of service to the community. Many of her volunteer activities have benefitted Cheyenne Regional Medical Center previously serving as president of the Board of Directors and president of the Volunteers. Over the years Tim and Kathy have provided expertise to numerous other community organizations and are both active in the Greek Orthodox Church. 11 Each year the Uniting our Community Award recognizes one organization that exemplifies the Untied Way spirit in Laramie County. These companies show us how to LIVE UNITED. The honoree is chosen for their high level of participation in United Way and in our community. We consider their volunteer hours, financial commitment, and leadership role within Laramie County. This year we were pleased to honor the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle and WTE Commercial Printing.
