ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Gomaa Ice Cream, a leading ice cream producer
in Egypt, has started the construction of a new
production facility and warehouse in the 10th of
Ramadan industrial zone, about an hour’s drive northeast
of Cairo.
SCHNAITER Engineering & Consulting GmbH
developed the structure of the financing and also
supported Gomaa in putting together the suppliers
and technology provider network.
Main suppliers are located in Germany and Italy.
A local contractor is doing the civil works onsite.
STAGE 1 (WAREHOUSE PROJECT)
10,000 sqm
› steel structure building for cold store rooms,
raw material storage, loading area and
two production lines
› admin building, 3 floors
› underground water tank, power station and
concrete streets (4,800 sqm in total)
STAGE 2 (NEW FACTORY PROJECT)
26,000 sqm
› production line building for six independent
production lines
› GEA building for chocolate production and
refrigerators
› pasteurization building
› underground water tank, power station
and lockers building
