Hardware % of Consumer Product % of Big Data Analytics Biotech, Hardware and Data The main technologies continue gaining participation The top seven technologies in ocean impact remained the same, but we have seen a shift in the order of their relevance. Biotech grew by a whopping 56% compared to 2020to become the most relevant tech application. Hardware applications (HAp) and industrial hardware (IdH) gained presence, with HAp growing more than 49% compared to 2020. Other noteworthy technologies gaining relevance are Big Data Analytics and Machine Learning, which grew by +24% and 16% compared to 2020. Ocean Health contracted, going from the most relevant to the third most relevant ocean technology between 2020 and 2021. 22

Artificial Intelligence, IoT and Big Data Analytics continue to grow in volume and relative participation. We see a continuous increase in the relative contribution of Hardware, and while Big Data Analytics experienced a decline over the years, there has recently been a sharp increase in its contribution.
