– Flexible<br />
� To support both legacy and IP services<br />
– Scalable<br />
� To support emerg<strong>in</strong>g future technologies<br />
– Cost-effective<br />
� To compensate for ris<strong>in</strong>g levels <strong>of</strong> backhaul traffic<br />
� It also needs to be a converged network, which<br />
means the operator does not need to run two<br />
separate networks (leased l<strong>in</strong>es and IP).
