Explore true gems around the
old capital, the Villa de Teguise,
during this excursion through the
north of Lanzarote. Visit LagOmar,
the Valley of a Thousand Palms, the
Mirador del Río, as well as the
fascinating Cuevas de los Verdes and
the wonderful Cactus Garden.
Departure to the town of Teguise, the old capital of the island, where we will
make a brief stop to admire its church, its cobbled streets, and the sensation of
moving to an old traditional village. Later, and crossing the town of Los Valles,
we head towards the town of Haría, where we will observe a wonderful view of
a beautiful palm grove, known as "The Valley of a Thousand Palms".
From there we will go, bordering the Volcano and the Malpaís de la Corona
towards the Cueva de los Verdes. A cave of undoubted beauty that includes an
indescribable and totally different landscape, formed by volcanic eruptions.
Passing through the towns of Mala, with a stop at the Aloe Museum, and
Guatiza, admiring the prickly pear plantations that house the cochineal, used
as a natural dye, we arrive to visit the Cactus Garden.
From there, we approach the town of Tahiche, to visit the Cesar Manrique
Foundation, which houses the former home of the great artist from Lanzarote,
and which today houses the foundation that bears his name, collecting
different pictorial and sculptural samples inside. of different avant-garde
artists, as well as admire their work.
Return to the collection points.
