Toy Train <strong>Auction</strong> Lot Descriptions<br />

August 12th and 13th, 2011<br />

STOUT AUCTIONS<br />

424 Metalcraft Heinz 57 Varieties delivery truck in original paint with original tires, spare present and included. Paint is 80%<br />

intact or better. Original decals 80-90% or better. Great looking truck with perfectly clean battery compartment. Truck<br />

measures approximately 12 inches long and 5-1/4 inches tall.<br />

425 Dietz No. 39 standard railroad lantern with an embossed clear globe/chimney. Clear globe is embossed with EJ&ERy and<br />

is etched in black on opposite side SAFETY FIRST, also embossed at the top with a circle K, one minor chip at base.<br />

Lantern and fount are fairly clean with just a little very light surface rust.<br />

426 Metalcraft pressed steel Kroger Food Express delivery truck in original paint with original metal wheels. Truck retains<br />

approximately 80% or better of original paint. Truck measures approximately 11 inches long and 5-1/4 inches tall. Truck<br />

is rust free and should clean and polish to look a little better. Great looking early toy truck.<br />

427 Four repainted Buddy L Outdoor Railroad freight cars, two boxcars, gondola, and a caboose, C6 area.<br />

428 Adlake Kero unmarked lantern w/ruby red globe. Lantern has perfectly clean fount that looks to have barely been used.<br />

Lantern has a little very light surface rust and storage dust. This style lantern was used on crossing gates and might have<br />

been for that purpose.<br />

429 Louis Marx 1st Batt. Siren Fire Chief mechanical car with rusty battery holder, about 70% or better original paint.<br />

Mechanical mechanism works. All original tires, one original? light bulb. Car should clean and polish to look a little<br />

better.<br />

430 William’s Reproductions Lionel No. 256 boxcab electric locomotive, C9-10. Train is dummy/non-powered.<br />

431 Girard Toys early sand & gravel pressed steel truck retaining about 90% or better original paint. Wired for headlights,<br />

appears to have never had lamps or battery installed. Original tires. Approximately 10 inches long and 4 inches long. Bed<br />

is spring loaded.<br />

432 These are at first glance, and in many ways a matching pair of Adlake The Non-Sweating Lamp Company caboose marker<br />

lanterns that have both been electrified in an exactly same manner. One lantern is marked B.R. and the other G.N. No. 7.<br />

Lanterns have had the mount that went on the caboose welded to a flat plate of steel that could be removed or used to<br />

mount the lantern(s) with. Each has a cord that has no plug. Inner parts of the lanterns appear to be complete/present and<br />

in restorable/usable condition. Lens are matching colors, intact and not chipped or cracked.<br />

433 Three tinplate toy trolleys. Two are Japanese; one is mechanically powered with battery powered illumination and the<br />

other is a Broadway 270 with no other markings. Third is marked G.C. Co. No. 48 and is electrically motor powered, 3<br />

rail, 1-7/8 inch gauge. Please view the photographs for the best description and as to the condition and diversity<br />

of the items in this lot. Items in this lot are sold as they are shown in the photos with no returns.<br />

434 The Adlake Non-Sweating Lamp Co. single lens classification lantern with a red and green lens built in with a set of levers<br />

on the outside to change the emitting color. Lamp has no burner/fount. Lantern is fairly clean with very little super light<br />

surface rust. Lantern in not marked but is accompanied by a note stating this was used by the Chicago Surface Lines.<br />

435 Prewar Lionel standard gauge No. 380 E center cab electric locomotive with 319 Pullman, 320 baggage, and 322<br />

observation passenger cars. Loco and two cars have been rewired, trains are very clean and shiny C6.<br />

436 Reproduction, electrically motored Buddy L Outdoor Railroad No. 936 steam locomotive and tender, C7 area.<br />

437 Metalcraft Shell Motor Oil delivery truck with original oil barrels. Truck retains approximately 80% or better of original<br />

paint. Tires are original. Approximately 12 inches long and 4-3/8 inches tall. Truck is free of rust but a couple barrels<br />

have some surface rust.<br />

438 Two prewar Lionel standard gauge No. 8 boxcab electric locomotives, C6 area. One is missing pantograph and headlight<br />

trim, other has been rewheeled.<br />

439 Tonka No. 5 fire truck w/fire hydrant, hoses, ladders retaining 90% or better of original paint. Truck will clean and polish<br />

to look better. Truck has some super light surface rust starting to form.
