801 Prewar American Flyer O gauge steam locomotive and tender with flatcar, two sand cars, boxcar, tank car, dump car, and<br />

illuminated caboose. Loco is missing pony truck, and has decals added, tender is repainted with decals added, some cars<br />

have some missing trim, C5-6.<br />

802 Gilbert Erector set movie prop boxes from “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Two boxes for the No.1 Erector sets both<br />

with prop tags. One box has actor Jason Alexanders head superimposed on the body of AC Gilbert.<br />

803 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2340 five stripe Pennsylvania GG-1 electric locomotive in Tuscan, nicer stripes, C7.<br />

804 Gilbert Erector set truck from “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Prop was built by Bill Bean for the film. Truck shows<br />

light handing and small paint chips on some edges. Comes with prop tag signed by Bill.<br />

805 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2541 Alexander Hamilton observation, No. 2542 Betsy Ross vista dome, No. 2543 William<br />

Penn Pullman coach, No. 2544 Molly Pitcher Pullman coach, in original boxes. Cars should clean and polish to look very<br />

nice C7 area. Very clean frames. Boxes look C7-8 area, 2541 is missing flaps, 2544 has tear to flap fold.<br />

806 Very neat Gilbert Erector mechanical tractor from “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Prop was built by Bill Bean for the<br />

film. Tractor has working spring wound mechanism to move the tractor. Tractor shows light handing and small paint chips<br />

on the wheels. Comes with prop tag signed by Bill.<br />

807 Postwar Lionel No. 2254W 1955 Congressional set box with components and paper associated with original set. Set would<br />

have included the 2340 Pennsylvania Tuscan five stripe GG-1 electric locomotive with four Pennsylvania aluminum<br />

passenger cars, 2541 Alexander Hamilton, 2542 Betsy Ross, 2543 William Penn, and 2544 Molly Pitcher. Components<br />

are: eleven straight sections of standard O gauge track, eight curved sections, small tube of Lionel lubricant, UCS in OB,<br />

and CTC Lockon. Components are clean and usable. Form 926-55, 1954-1955 service stations pamphlet, Form No. 6019<br />

-16 11-54 TT instructions sheet, two uncut 1955 billboard sets. Set box has tears to flap folds, paper tape repairs, light<br />

staining, some marker writing. Please view photos for the best description of the condition of this box.<br />

808 Gilbert Erector electric steam shovel from “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Prop was built by Bill Bean for the film.<br />

Steam shovel has electric motor installed and connected to gearing. Shovel shows light handing and small paint chips on<br />

some edges. Comes with prop tag signed by Bill.<br />

809 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 2755 Sunoco tank and No. 2657 caboose, both in original boxes, 2755 has insert. Trains look<br />

C6. Boxes have missing and detached flaps.<br />

810 Gilbert Erector props from “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Props were built by Bill Bean for the film. Includes two<br />

wagons and small table. items show light handing and small paint chips on some edges. Comes with prop tags signed by<br />

811 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 1656LT switcher locomotive and bell tender outfit for 0-27 track in original master carton<br />

with inner boxes, inserts, wrapping paper, C7. Boxes look C7-9. Instruction sheets included.<br />

812 Gilbert Erector set wooden movie prop boxes from “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Two wooden set boxes that are<br />

labeled for Erector, boxes would make neat display items. Jason Alexander used these boxes for his magic tricks in the<br />

store window. Boxes are in good condition with prop tags signed by Bill Bean.<br />

45N automatic gateman in original box with insert, inspection slip, and factory sealed components envelope, C5-6. 156<br />

814 Gilbert Erector crane from “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Prop was built by Bill Bean for the film. Crane is complete<br />

and shows some paint chips, but is in good condition. Comes with prop tag signed by Bill.<br />

815 Lionel O gauge No. 1045 operating watchman in original box with insert and components in envelope and No. 45N<br />

automatic gateman in original box with insert and components in envelope, C6. C7 boxes.<br />

816 AC Gilbert Company bulletin board from “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Sign measures 14 inches wide by 30 inches<br />

tall. Has some small holes and one chip in the front corner of the sign. Comes with prop tag signed by Bill.

817 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 1431 freight train set box with 224E steam locomotive, tinplate tender without whistle, two<br />

2640 illuminated Pullman coaches and a 2641 illuminated observation car. Trains look C6 area, cars look C7-8. Inner<br />

boxes have missing flaps, set box has folded in flaps, no tender box. RCS and box with track clips and small tube of<br />

lubricant included.<br />

818 AC Gilbert Polar Cub fan used in the movie “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Fan is in good condition, has been<br />

repainted. A tough Gilbert fan to find in its own right. Looks complete and comes with prop tag signed by Bill.<br />

819 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 226 steam locomotive with No. 2226W tender with whistle in original boxes with inserts, C7.<br />

Boxes are missing flaps.<br />

820 Group of nine American Model Builder sets in OBs. Sets included are 1 1/2, 2 1/2, 2 1/2, 2, 2, 3, 3 1/2, 5, and 13. Sets are<br />

clean and in C6-7 condition. A few parts have been repainted silver and some sets are incomplete and incorrectly<br />

organized. See photos for further description.<br />

821 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 232 steam passenger set in original boxes with eight curved and two straight sections of track,<br />

lockon, and box with connecting ties. Trains look C6-7. Inner boxes are missing flaps. Set box has moderately worn<br />

edges and labels. Set box is square with no split corners. Set is composed of 257 steam loco, 257-T four wheel tender, 629<br />

Pullman coach, and 630 observation car.<br />

822 AC Gilbert 1940 Erector No. 4 1/2 set in OB. Set is complete, correctly organized and displayed with the original inserts<br />

and containers. Set box shows very light wear on corners. Contents are clean and bright. Looks lower C8.<br />

823 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 902B outfit for O gauge track in master carton. Outfit is made up of 227 steam switcher loco<br />

and 2227B slope back tender with bell and operating backup light in individual boxes. Trains look C6++ with a couple<br />

minor touchups to loco. Inner boxes look C7-8. Master carton looks C7 area. No. 88 controller in OB included.<br />

824 AC Gilbert 1937 Erector No. 4 1/2 set in OB. Set is complete, correctly organized and displayed with the original inserts<br />

and containers. Set box shows very light wear on corners and paper parts cover inside has light pencil writing. Contents are<br />

unused C9-10 while set box is C7-8. A very tough set to find in this condition.<br />

825 Postwar Lionel O gauge accessories No. 97 remote control coal elevator in original box with two No. 206 bags of artificial<br />

coal, instructions sheet, controller in original box, C7-8. Box looks C6. No. 397 coal loader in original box with 364C<br />

control switch, No. 206 bag of artificial coal and instructions sheet, C6. Box looks C7 with paper tape repairs.<br />

826 AC Gilbert 1956 Erector No. 2 1/2 set in OB. Set is complete, correctly organized and displayed with the original inserts<br />

and containers. Also includes instruction book, inspection slip, and patent list. Set box shows very light wear at corners.<br />

Contents are mint and unused C9-10. Box is C7-8. Also includes a very scarce store counter display. This is the very set<br />

pictured on page 130 of Greenberg’s Guide to Erector volume II.<br />

832 AC Gilbert Erector set. 1944 No. 5 Erector Junior set in OB. Set is complete, correctly organized and displayed with the<br />

original inserts and containers. Also includes instruction book. Set box shows very light wear at corners and has one split<br />

corner on box lid. Box is C7-8. Contents are like new. This is the very set is pictured on page 76 of Greenberg’s Guide to<br />

Erector volume II.<br />

833 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 6520 searchlight car w/instructions sheet; 3469 automatic dumping ore car w/insert,<br />

instructions sheets, bag of coal, and bin; 6656 stock car, 3461 automatic lumber car w/insert, OTC lockon w/spacers, logs,<br />

bin, and instructions sheet, and 6457 caboose. Trains should clean and polish to look nicer C6-7. Boxes are cleaner and<br />

brighter w/some price stickers, 6457 is partially missing an inner coupler protection flap, otherwise boxes look C7-9 area.<br />

834 AC Gilbert Erector Junior No. 10 set in OB. Set is from 1949 and is complete, correctly organized and displayed with the<br />

original inserts and containers. Also includes instruction booklet and inspection slip. Contents are mint and unused C9-10.<br />

Set box shows very light wear at corners with one corner on the lid taped with clear tape. Box is lower C8.<br />

835 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2421 Maplewood illuminated Pullman coach, No. 2422 Chatham illuminated Pullman coach,<br />

and No. 2423 Hillside illuminated observation car, all in original boxes. Trains look C7-8, very clean with a very even and<br />

smooth overall sheen. Boxes look C7-8. Each car has it’s original wrapping paper.<br />

836 AC Gilbert Company 1918 P-82 reversible battery powered motor. Motor is in C7 condition with some light wear on the<br />

case. Bill states he has never seen another P-82. Extremely rare motor.<br />

837 Large lot of prewar and postwar Lionel paper items. Instructions sheets, inspection slips, box labels, and such. A brief run<br />

through would include, but not entirely limited to: 91, 167c, 153c, 6019, 1033, 95, B, 45, 66, 67, 47, T, 022, 45N, 167, 46<br />

Numerous duplicates. All are neatly contained in a three ring binder in plastic sleeves. None have binder holes punched in<br />

them.<br />

838 AC Gilbert company 1942 V-37 electric motor. This motor was produced for the military during WWII and used to adjust<br />

the trim tabs on fighter airplanes. Motor is C7-8 with clean stampings and serial number.<br />

839 Lot of mostly Lionel postwar accessories/components, including: 16 SP bottles, clear plastic smoke pellet container w/<br />

wire bail, plastic smoke pellet container lid, twenty-two small tubes of Lionel lubricant, two 145c contactors in OB, LTC<br />

lockon in OB, 394-10 clear lamp in OB, four prewar boxes for connecting ties (some ties in some boxes), fifteen postwar<br />

boxes for connecting ties (some ties in some boxes).<br />

840 AC Gilbert Erector A-49 No. 10002 motor from 1957. Motor is factory sealed C10 with price sticker.<br />

841 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 751 streamline train set in original box. Set is composed of 752E Union Pacific diesel<br />

powered unit, 753 passenger coach, and 754 observation car. Trains look C6+ with good castings. Inner boxes are nicely<br />

marked, all are marked two tone, 752T vestibule box included. These boxes look C7+ area. No. 95 controlling rheostat in<br />

OB, connecting ties in OB, empty wooden bulb container, and 072 track included (sixteen curved and four straight<br />

sections). Set box has older paper tape repairs, a little writing and such. Please view our photos for the best description of<br />

the condition of the set box in this lot.<br />

842 AC Gilbert Erector P-52 motor in OB. Motor was produced in 1916 and is C9-10 in the box. OB shows very light wear on<br />

top edge of lid.<br />

843 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 2812 gondola, 2815 tank, 2817 caboose, and 2820 searchlight car, all in original boxes, C6+.<br />

Boxes have missing flaps. No 2820 OB, but two 2815 boxes.<br />

844 AC Gilbert Erector P-50 motor in OB. Motor was produced in 1933 and is C9-10 in the box. Box includes vial of three in<br />

one oil and directions. Box is very clean with the exception of tape repairs to the top edge and flaps.<br />

845 Postwar Lionel O gauge tougher No. 2454 Pennsylvania boxcar, 2555 Sunoco, 2411 flatcar w/three logs, 2452X<br />

Pennsylvania gondola, 2465 Sunoco, and 2472 Pennsylvania caboose. Trains look C6-7. 2454 has chipped catwalk end.<br />

Boxes have inserts, some have missing or detached flaps. Boxes are clean, square and solid.

846 AC Gilbert 1948 P-55 motor in OB. Bill states that he opened sealed box to inspect packaging methods. Contents are C9<br />

-10. Box has writing on one end and bottom. Box shows very light moisture stains, but is clean with great flaps and edges.<br />

Box is C8.<br />

847 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2333 New York Central twin diesel locomotive for O gauge track Master Carton with F3 AA<br />

units in individual boxes with inserts and an instructions sheet FORM 2333-146 4-49. Trains have rubber stamped<br />

lettering variation. Trains have fantastic very high C8 shells that are super clean. Frames are very clean and appear to be<br />

well maintained C7++ area. Porthole lens all are original, but P unit has one style and T unit has a different style. Nice<br />

clean roof screens. Battery compartment is perfectly clean. P box looks C9 area with a very low C7 insert (should easily<br />

be upgraded) and is ink stamped X B. T box looks C8+ with a little wear to flap fold sides, insert matches. Master Carton<br />

looks C8 area with a vintage shipping label.<br />

848 AC Gilbert 1915 P-54 motor. Scarce motor with P-58 motor and early P-59 reverse base plate. Motor shows some very<br />

light plating loss and very light rust. Base is clean with some very light plating loss and a small scrape on one corner. For<br />

the age it is in wonderful condition C7+.<br />

849 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 814R reefer with white body and light blue roof in original box, C7-8. Box has a missing inner<br />

flap, missing a small portion of a corner. Box is bright, clean, square, sharp, and solid.<br />

850 AC Gilbert 1935 P-51 separate sale electric motor in OB. Motor is high C7-8 with some small paint chips and cracking in<br />

cord, but very clean and bright finish. Box has some wear on label and very light wear on lower lid corners. Box is C7 area,<br />

851 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 2816 operating coal car with electric couplers in original box, missing both coupler keys, C7-8.<br />

Box looks C8 -9, however is missing an inner flap and partially missing both inner coupler protection flaps. Box is very<br />

bright, square, sharp and solid.<br />

852 Gilbert Erector 1950 No. 6 whistle kit in OB. The box is high C8 condition with minimal wear at the lid edges. Contents<br />

are mint C9-10 with no signs of being used. This is the very set pictured on page 103 of Greenberg’s Guide to Erector<br />

Volume II.<br />

853 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 2654 Shell tank, 2655 boxcar and 2657X caboose, all in original boxes. Trains look much<br />

nicer C6-7, closer to C7. Boxes have some missing inner flaps, square, and solid boxes.<br />

854 Gilbert Erector 1950 No. 7 smoke and choo choo kit in OB. The box is high C8 to low C9 condition with minimal wear at<br />

the lid corners. Contents are mint C9-10 with no signs of being used. This is the very set is pictured on page 103 of<br />

Greenberg’s Guide to Erector Volume II.<br />

855 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 2816 operating coal car with electric couplers in original box, C8. Box has inner tape<br />

reinforcement, outer tape repairs, and partially missing inner coupler protection flaps. Box otherwise looks C8.<br />

856 Gilbert Erector 1950 No. 5 illumination kit in OB. The box is C9 with small price pencil written on side label. Contents<br />

are mint C9-10 with no signs of being used. Still has partial factory plastic over the kit inside the box. Wow! This is the<br />

very set pictured on page 97 of Greenberg’s Guide to Erector Volume II.<br />

857 Postwar Lionel O gauge 1949 No. 3656 operating cattle car in original box with insert, components in envelope, harder to<br />

find cattle figures with bumpers in OB, stockyard with ramp and original wrapping paper, 3656 operating cattle car with<br />

black letters and no Armour sticker. Car and stockyard look C6 area. Outfit box looks C7. 3656 car box looks C8-9.<br />

858 Gilbert Erector No. 1E square girder kit in original tube. Kit is sealed and contents are C10. Tube shows light handling<br />

marks and price sticker on end. Tube is C8+. This is the very set pictured on page 97 of Greenberg’s Guide to Erector<br />

Volume II.<br />

859 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 239B outfit set box with some inner set components. Box looks very nice. Box is very square,<br />

very sharp, and very solid with “snappy flaps”. There are older inner repairs to bottom flap tears. Box looks C7+. Set was<br />

made up of: 227/2227T; 2655 or 2652, 2656 or 2654, and 2657X, depending on if it is a 1939 set or a 1940 set. Box may<br />

be dated under a piece of tape that appears to have number 1 peeking out. Eight curved and three straight sections of<br />

Lionel track, RCS with controller and instructions sheet in OB and connecting ties, CTC Lockon and lubricant tube OB<br />

with components, included.

860 Gilbert Erector 1949 12 1/2 A Merry Go Round kit in OB. This scarce kit was a supplement to the early 12 1/2 sets which<br />

did not contain all the components necessary to build the newly invented Merry Go Round. This kit is complete and unused<br />

with all parts correctly displayed. Contents are C9-10 Box is C8 with tape residue across the top lid and light wear on one<br />

lid corner.<br />

861 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 1464W diesel passenger set in original boxes. Set is composed of no. 2023 twin Union<br />

Pacific diesel A units in original master carton with all three inserts, instructions sheet and wrapping paper. Passenger cars<br />

are 2481 Plainfield illuminated Pullman, No. 2482 Westfield illuminated Pullman, and No. 2483 Livingston observation.<br />

Trains look very clean and shiny C7-8 with a very even and smooth sheen to paint. Components are type 1033 90 watts<br />

transformer in original box, eight curved and five straight sections of 0-27 track, wire coils, CTC Lockon, and 6019 in OB.<br />

Paper literature included. Set box looks C7 area. Transformer box looks C8-9. 6019 looks C9. Car boxes look C8-9 with<br />

a couple missing inner flaps and each having a sheet of wrapping paper. 2023 Master carton has small minor stain on a top<br />

flap, otherwise looks very nice C8-9.<br />

862 The Master Builder No. 10 set. Set was produced in 1915. Set is complete with original box, instructions, and all parts.<br />

Instructions do have some tape repair along the spine and one corner. OB is C8 and contents are C8.<br />

863 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2333 Santa Fe twin diesel locomotives in original master carton with inner boxes that have<br />

inserts and the original instructions sheet. Trains look very clean and shiny C7 area, except T unit has chipped exhaust<br />

stack and missing porthole lens and P unit has very small touchup to silver. P unit has perfectly clean battery<br />

compartment. P and T boxes have tape repairs. All boxes have some stains. M.C. has some wear/damage to a corner.<br />

Boxes are fairly clean, bright, square, and very solid. P box is ink stamped X on both ends.<br />

864 Bing Constructor No. 1 set from 1910. Set appears complete, but can not be completely sure. Includes original instructions<br />

and is correctly displayed in original containers. Box lid does have repairs to two edges and corners. Contents are C8, box<br />

is C7.<br />

865 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 227 steam switcher locomotive with NO. 2227B bell ringing slope back tender with operating<br />

backup light. Trains look C7-8. Neither tender no loco have coupler keys. No. 169 X selective coupler controller in OB.<br />

Box has a detached inner flap. Loco and tender boxes look C7-8 with loco box having a partially split tape seam.<br />

866 Ives No. D Strucktiron set from 1916. Set is complete, correctly organized in original containers and includes original<br />

instruction manual. Contents are C7-8 with some small paint nicks and chips. OB has light wear on the corners and two<br />

small tears at the center sides of the lid. Box is C7+<br />

867 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 50 gang car in original box with insert and instructions sheet, C6 with one missing lever.<br />

Center horn, U shaped bumper mount. OB is C8-9. No. 3360 operating Burro crane in original box with insert,<br />

instructions sheet, components envelope and one track trip, C7+. Box is C7.<br />

868 Gilbert Erector No. 100 set from 1957 in OB. Set contents are complete and unused. Set still has factory shrink wrap<br />

covering parts. Also original instructions are included. Contents C9-10. OB shows light wear at lid edges, but is clean. Box<br />

C7-8.<br />

869 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 3656 operating cattle car outfit box with insert, 3656 operating cattle car w/Armour sticker in<br />

OB, stockyard w/ramp, cattle with bumpers in OB, instructions sheet, 364c control button, and other small components.<br />

Nice C6-7 outfit with lower C7 outfit box, C7-8 car box, C8-9 cattle box.<br />

870 Gilbert Erector 1951 No. 1 1/2 set in the OB. Contents of set are C9-10 with factory plastic, instructions, and all parts<br />

displayed correctly and un-used. Box has two small tape repairs and light edge wear on the lid. This is the very set pictured<br />

on page 110 of Greenberg’s Guide to Erector Volume II.<br />

871 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 238E streamlined steam locomotive and 2265T tender. Loco looks very clean and shiny C7<br />

area. Tender has a couple very tiny chips that have very light surface rust, should clean to look close to loco condition.<br />

Tender box is square and solid but missing flaps on one end. Loco box looks C8-9 area with a little mild staining.<br />

872 Gilbert Erector 1935 Sky Scraper set in OB. Set contents are complete, correctly organized and in original containers.<br />

Includes instructions. Contents are high C8-9. OB is very clean with some light edge wear on the lid and three small tape<br />

repairs to the inside of the lid. Box is C7-8

whistle, 613 T.C. Pullman, 614 T.C. observation and 615 Terra Cotta R.P.O. car. Trains look C6-7. Boxes have missing<br />

flaps, split corner, marker writing on set box. Boxes are square and solid. Original instructions included.<br />

889 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 294 electric passenger train outfit in original boxes with components. No. 252 center cab<br />

electric locomotive with 529 Pullman car, and No. 530 observation car. Trains look very nice C7 and should polish to look<br />

a little better. Loco has been rewheeled, original wheels included. Inner boxes have wear at flaps and a couple missing<br />

flaps. Boxes are nicer, strong, square and clean. Set box has wear to corners/edges, good labels, C7 in shape. No. 88<br />

battery rheostat, OB with connecting ties, and a No. 068 warning signal in OB are included. Original instructions pamphlet<br />

890 Really tough Gilbert Erector No. 1 set from 1913. Contents of set are in excellent condition. Original instructions are crisp<br />

with one small tear in the rear cover. Parts are complete and correct C8-9 condition. Box is also great with only light corner<br />

wear on the lid and very clean label. This is the very set pictured on page 48 of Greenberg’s Guide to Erector volume I. It<br />

is also pictured on the rear cover of the book in a color photo montoge.<br />

Trains look C7-8. Trains are just fantastic, very nice and even sheen on roofs, lightly run but very nice. Inner boxes have<br />

old tape residue, missing flaps. Inner boxes are clean, bright, square and solid. 1019 RCS in OB, connecting ties in OB,<br />

type 1042 transformer in OB, and track included. Set box has paper tape repairs/reinforcement to flaps, some worn flap<br />

folds. Box is still very square and very solid. Clean box with bright clean label.<br />

894 AC Gilbert 1920 crystal radio outfit in original wooden case. Set was produced during Gilbert's brief venture into radio<br />

products. Set is complete with instruction sheet inside lid. Contents look C8-9. Box lid has some light scratches otherwise<br />

missing flaps on one end. Set box has a little staining and bottom flaps are glued? shut. Instructions sheet and extra piece<br />

915 Prewar Lionel standard gauge No. 366E steam passenger set with No. 1835E steam loco, 1835T tender, 309 Pullman, 310<br />

Railway Mail, and 312 observation. Loco and tender have typical casting issues, steam chests, trailing and lead wheels on<br />

loco and tender shell. Loco looks C7 area. Tender is sold as is with no returns. Extra tender shell w/casting fatigue, also<br />

sold as is with no returns. 309 has very small ding in roof otherwise cars look C7-8. Car boxes are C9 area and are all<br />

917 Postwar Lionel Outfit No. 2190W Santa Fe twin diesel O gauge passenger train with horn in original boxes. Set is<br />

composed of No. 2343P and No. 2343T Santa Fe EMD F3a diesel units with original porthole lens, screened roof vents and<br />

clean battery compartment. Passenger cars are: 2531 Silver Dawn observation, 2532 Silver Range Astra-Dome car, 2533<br />

Silver Cloud Pullman, and 2534 Silver Bluff Pullman. Cars all have matching round head rivet name plates. Cars are very<br />

clean, C6+. Powered unit is clean C7 area. T is missing a hand grab on nose, unit should clean C6-7. P box is C9 area<br />

with older tape residue on opened flap area, with wrapping paper and insert. T box has some tears and skinning from tape<br />

the No.4 set came in a metal box. Includes instruction booklet. Contents are lower C8. Lower insert in the box is a<br />

reproduction. Box has some scratches on the lid and normal paint loss by the lid hold downs. Decal is the more unusual<br />

black background and is about 97% complete with a few small chips. Box is lower C8.<br />

919 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2124W passenger train outfit set box with components. Box has a partially split corner,<br />

shallow scratch down a side panel and light label. Box is C7 in shape. Components included are straight and curved<br />

brittle. Otherwise contents is C7-8. Box is C7+ with some scratches on lid and some very small and light rust spots.<br />

921 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2332 Pennsylvania green five stripe GG-1 electric locomotive in original box with insert, C7<br />

area. Box is C8+ with some writing.<br />

922 Gilbert Erector 1936 No. 10 1/2 Hudson loco and tender in OB. Wow! The contents of this set are great. Many parts still<br />

wrapped in factory paper, a few of the exposed parts have some light scratches. Includes both instruction books and catalog<br />

flyer. Bill states these parts have never been assembled and the condition reflects that. Parts range C8+ to C10. Box has<br />

very little paint loss, a few chips around the corner of the lid and one or two very small sections on the lid. Label has some<br />

small chips. Amazing set in great condition!<br />

934 Very neat 1926 Kelmet (Gilbert) steam crane toy. Crane is high C7 condition with numerous paint chips, but in very nice<br />

935 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2333 New York Central twin diesel locomotives in master carton with inner boxes and inserts.<br />

Trains are nice C7-8 with repro porthole lens. Clean battery compartment. T box has tape repairs and a replaced tuck flap,<br />

square and bright w/insert. P box looks C8 and has B ink stamped on end flaps, Master Carton looks C8-9 in shape, label<br />

looks more C7. Original instructions sheet included.<br />

936 While not exclusively Gilbert this 1923 Burdette - Murray steel dump truck was the origin of the “White” truck that was<br />

packed with the 1926 to 1932 Gilbert Erector sets. The cab of truck is in good condition with some paint missing around<br />

fenders and some minor paint chips. Bed of truck has play wear and has numerous scratches and paint missing. Overall<br />

truck is C6-7 area.<br />

937 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 2812 dark orange gondola with five 2- piece wooden barrels in original box, C7. Box is clean<br />

and bright with light wear.<br />

938 Gilbert Erector 1927 tanker truck. Truck has some light paint loss along lower edge of running boards, small paint chips in<br />

941 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 2810 derrick car in original box with insert. Derrick looks C7+. Box has missing inner flaps,<br />

942 Gilbert Erector No. C 1928 Airkraft set in original wooden box. This set is complete, correctly organized and is one of the<br />

best examples of this set known to exist. Contents include instructions, Air Liner flyer and even some original tissue paper<br />

covering the wings. Parts are C8 condition and look hardly used. Label on inside of box is clean and complete. Outside of<br />

this set are C7-8. Some parts with a few paint chips but overall very clean parts. Box has a very nice lid, decal is complete<br />

but does have two small holes near the left edge. Box has a few small scratches as well, lower C8 condition.<br />

947 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2185W New York Central diesel freight train with horn outfit in original boxes. Set is<br />

composed of No. 2344 New York Central GM EMD diesel F3a units in original boxes with inserts. 3464 New York<br />

Central operating boxcar, 6456 LV red hopper, 6462 New York Central gondola with six wooden barrels and inspection<br />

slip, 6465 Sunoco tank, 6457 caboose (tiny wheel marks to one bottom edge). Trains look very nice clean, C7 area. Locos<br />

have screened roof vents, original porthole lens, clean battery compartment. Boxes have very light to mild wear. A couple<br />

torn and a couple missing inner flaps. Boxes are very solid, square, bright and clean. UCS in OB, seven straight sections<br />

of dull gray track, small tube of lubricant, and a nice pile of paper, catalogs, and such included. Set box is C7.<br />

Set has very tough to find painted “ hub caps”. Paint is chipping on the hub caps. Includes instruction manual. Contents is<br />

No. 167 whistle controller in OB. Instructions booklet, instructions sheets and other paper included. Curved and straight<br />

952 Gilbert Erector 1925 No. 10 set in original wooden box. Set contents include instruction booklet and all other parts are<br />

complete and correctly displayed in the correct containers. Parts are generally C7+. This set was the only set to include<br />

both early and late style girders. Box has some light wear along front edge of lid, a few light scratches on top, and decal is<br />

about 70% complete. Box is C7+.<br />

953 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2625 Madison, Manhattan, and Irvington Pullman cars, C6-7. Very clean, great looking cars.<br />

Boxes have tape repaired and replaced flaps. Boxes were originally all 2625, but 2627 and 2628 have been ink stamped<br />

with corresponding number. Boxes have inserts. Boxes are clean, square, and solid.<br />

954 Gilbert Erector 1928 No. 7 1/2 set in original wooden box. All parts are complete and correctly displayed in correct<br />

containers. The contents are very nice, high C8-9 area with only a few light scratches. Instruction manual included. Box<br />

also in wonderful condition with a few small dents on the lid edge and super decal with only one small chip. Box is C8+,<br />

Bill says one of the nicest wood boxes he has seen.<br />

955 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2641 transformer car without decals, car looks clean C7. OB looks C7.<br />

956 Gilbert Erector 1917 No. 5 set in original wooden box. Contents are complete and correctly displayed in the original<br />

containers. Contents are high C7 condition, with a few parts showing some very light spots flash rust, otherwise parts are<br />

bright and shiny. Includes instruction manual. Box has a few light scratches on the lid corners and a scratch on the rear<br />

lower corner of the box otherwise looks C8.<br />

957 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 2817 caboose in original box, C7. Box looks C7 with some tears to flap folds and some<br />

internal glue? repairs/reinforcements.<br />

958 Mysto Erector 1914 No. 5 set in original wooden box. Contents are complete with instructions and correctly organized in<br />

original containers. Parts are very clean lower C8, parts boxes show light wear on the corners. Label inside liid is very<br />

clean along with parts list. Box has slight dent at rear edge of lid otherwise very nice C8 area. Set also includes very tough<br />

and extremely clean 1914 motor.<br />

959 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2400 Pullman, No. 2401 observation, No. 2402 Pullman, original boxes with inserts. Boxes<br />

look C7-8 area. 2401 has tight tears to tuck flap folds. Boxes are very clean, very bright, very square, and very solid. May<br />

be not impossible, but very hard to upgrade these boxes.<br />

960 Very rare Gilbert Briktor dealer parts cabinet. Dates from around the 1920’s. This display was a counter top display used to<br />

sell extra Briktor parts. This is the only one known to exist according to Bill. Contents appear complete and in C7+<br />

condition. Box is C7-8, although Briktor decal has some chipping. A simply amazing piece.<br />

961 New Old Stock Lionel Corporation electrical motor 115 AC, 6 amp, 5,000 rpm, 1 Phase, 60 cycle, 1/50 HP, Lionel type<br />

CR3. Factory tag attached.<br />

962 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 3651 remote control lumber car and No. 3659 remote control dump car, in original boxes.<br />

Cars look better C6. 3651 box has a detached and incorrect end flap. Boxes are clean, square and solid.<br />

963 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 771 curved and No. 771 straight T-rail track in original boxes. Two boxes of eight sections of<br />

771 and one box of four sections of 772. Track looks C8-10. Track may be unrun. Very clean, tiniest marks at connection<br />

holes, superb examples of track. Boxes look C9 area. No. 773 Model Builder Track fish plate set envelope, numerous fish<br />

plates, numerous hex nuts and square headed bolts, numerous center rail connectors, and two tools. This little lot should<br />

put together a fantastic looking loop of T-rail.

produced. Contents are complete and in correct containers. Parts range C7 to C8. Many pieces of original paper including a<br />

part II and Part III manual as well as inspection slip, set screw envelopes, prize winner flyer, Erector Tips subscription<br />

card, and coupon sheet for Erector Tips. Box is C7 area with some scratches on lid and sides and three hairline cracks<br />

running through the lid. This is the very set on page 56 of Greenberg’s Guide to Erector Volume I.<br />

965 Prewar Lionel No. 787W O gauge freight train outfit with remote control whistle in original boxes. Set is composed of a<br />

fantastic looking 763-E Hudson steam locomotive and No. 2226W tender with whistle, No. 2954 Pennsylvania boxcar, No.<br />

2955 Sunoco tank, and No. 2957 caboose, in original boxes with associated components. Trains look very nice C7-8. Cars<br />

966 Ives 1916 Strucktiron No. H set in original wooden box. Set is complete and correctly organized in original containers.<br />

Includes instructions and 1916 retail price sheet. Parts range C7+ to C9. Many parts look unused and any wear appears to<br />

be from storage. Bill believes this is the best large Ives set that exists today. Box is very nice C8 although label does have<br />

some wrinkles.<br />

967 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 1666 steam locomotive, 2466W tender, two 2440 Pullman passenger coaches, and a 2441<br />

observation car. Trains are very clean. C6+ loco and tender. Car roofs are C6 area, car bodies are C7-8. No tender box,<br />

boxes are missing flaps. Loco box has insert. Boxes are clean and bright. 2441 box is an over stamped box.<br />

968 American Model Builder No. 6 set in original wooden box. Set was produced in 1913 and is complete with all parts<br />

organized and displayed correctly. Contents includes instruction manual, supplementary instructions, and “Story of an<br />

American Model Builder Boy” fold out. Parts are C7-8 condition. Also includes neat American Model Builder pin back<br />

button. Original box looks C7+ with very little wear, however does have crack that runs the width of the lid.<br />

969 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 251B steam switcher freight train outfit in original boxes. Set is composed of No. 227 steam<br />

switcher, 2227B Pennsylvania bell ringing tender (missing coupler key), 2955 Shell tank, X2954 Pennsylvania boxcar, and<br />

2957 New York Central caboose. Trains look very clean, C7 area. Great looking trains with no casting distortion. Inner<br />

boxes have tape repairs and some tears. Boxes are very clean, square and solid. Box is dark, but C7 in shape. Curved and<br />

straight track, connecting ties in OB, 169 controller in OB and RCS in OB.<br />

970 Gilbert Erector 1919 No. 6 set in original wooden box. Set is complete and correctly displayed in the original containers.<br />

Set includes instructions, engineering institute point certificate, and store price tag on box from John Wanamakers in<br />

Philadelphia. Contents are lower C8. Box is very clean C8 however label does have some chipping at edges and lid has<br />

crack running the width of the lid.<br />

but very good condition all around. Also includes “White” stamped radiator hood. Box lid has great label inside the box.<br />

Outside of box has tough black background label. Box is C7+ area with some light wear on the lid and about 10% of label<br />

few small scratches . Bill believes this set to be never assembled and un-used. Lid on box shows scratches as well as the<br />

981 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 397 operating coal loader in original boxes with inserts, components in envelopes, and loose<br />

components. Loader has the dark gray painted base, painted tray, heat shield in the painted yellow generator. Exception<br />

example of this tougher variation. Inspection slips, 364c control button, wire coils in envelope. Instructions sheets. 456-5<br />

envelope with posts and one tiny screw. Nice clean bright No. 206 bag of artificial coal, full. Red loading bin. Loader<br />

looks very nice extra clean C7+, except the generator is original paint and looks C8+ with a super tiny chip to decal.<br />

982 Gilbert Erector 1929 No. 8 Zeppelin in original wooden box. Set is complete with all parts correctly organized in original<br />

boxes. Condition of parts ranges from C7 to C8. Condition of the bag in this set is near perfect with only some light<br />

cracking in the decal. Includes No. 8 instruction manual. Inner lid label has two inch tear at top right and three very small<br />

tears on the other sides. Box lid shows some light scratches but decal is in fairly nice. Box looks C7 area.<br />

983 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 240E steam freight outfit in original boxes. Outfit consists of No. 260E steam loco, 260T<br />

tender, 812 gondola, 820 searchlight, 810 derrick, 820 searchlight, and 817 caboose. Trains should clean to look great C7<br />

area. Loco may have a couple very small touchups to cab roof. No. 81 controlling rheostat in OB, No. 812T tools in OB,<br />

UTC Lockon, connecting ties in OB, curved and straight track. Loco box has old Scotch tape, C7-8, tender box is C9-10.<br />

Car boxes look C6-7 with some missing inner boxes. Set box has repaired/restored corners. Box is square, strong, and<br />

solid. Instructions sheets included.<br />

984 Gilbert Erector and chemistry store display signs in original box. Four signs total, one for Erector and three Chemistry cut<br />

outs. Displays are in C7+ condition. One Chemistry sign has light wear on a lower corner. Otherwise signs show some<br />

light effects of being on display but extremely nice with bright full lettering on the Erector sign. Box shows some light<br />

shelf wear on edges but is complete.<br />

girders showing some light wear. Overall a very striking and tough item to find. Cord on motor is still pliable and model is<br />

987 Prewar Lionel gauge No. 792, 793, 793, and 794 Rail Chief passenger cars. Observation car has a lot of very tight and<br />

fully intact cracking in casting. Cars still look very nice clean and shiny C6-7.<br />

988 Gilbert Erector 1947 factory built tug boat store display. This model also includes the smoke and choo-choo kit installed.<br />

Display looks C7 area with a few paint chips and some screw heads showing light rust. This display would have turned a<br />

few heads with its bright colors and the smoke and sound.<br />

989 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2123WS freight train outfit in original boxes with components. Set is comprised of 675 steam<br />

loco, 2466WX tender with whistle, 2555 Sunoco tank, X2458 Pennsylvania double door boxcar, 3559 automatic dump car,<br />

and 2457 Pennsylvania caboose. Trains look C7 area. Nice C7-8 area boxes with no missing flaps. Boxes have inserts.<br />

990 Gilbert Erector factory built 1949 small tank model. This model was displayed at the Gilbert Hall of Science in<br />

Washington DC. Model is still very bright and clean, a few small paint chips on the edge of the rear yellow plates, and one<br />

extremely small area of rust on the front edge of the tank. Looks C7+.<br />

991 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 190W passenger outfit in original boxes with No. 226E steam locomotive, No. 2226W tender<br />

with whistle, 2613 Pullman, 2614 observation, 2615 baggage, passenger cars. Trains look very clean and shiny C7-8.<br />

Inner boxes have some missing inner flaps, light wear. Boxes are clean, bright and very solid. Loco box is missing all<br />

flaps on one end. Set box has older writing, C7 in shape. RCS with controller in OB, No. 167W whistle controller,<br />

connecting ties in OB, track, and instructions.<br />

992 Gilbert 1929 factory assembled airplane. It is assembled with rivets as opposed to nuts and bolts. This model is believed to<br />

be a store display. When the plane is hung from a ceiling mount and plugged in, it will fly in a circle. Plane is in C6+ to C7<br />

condition with some light paint loss on the lower wing and a small dent with paint loss just behind the cockpit. Plane<br />

appears complete and all parts move freely. Cord appears to be original. Also pictured on the rear cover of Greenberg’s<br />

guide to Erector Volume I.<br />

993 Postwar Lionel No. 726 steam locomotive and No. 2426W tender in original boxes, C7. Boxes are clean and bright, tender<br />

box has a tear to a tuck flap fold, C7-8. Instructions sheet and inspection slip.<br />

994 Gilbert Erector 1918 battle ship. Ship has some light rust on a few girders but overall in very nice condition. This was also<br />

used as a prop in the film “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Overall C7.<br />

995 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2344C New York Central EMD F3b diesel locomotive, original porthole lens and screened<br />

roof vents. Train should easily clean C7 area. Box is missing all flaps on one end. Box is bright and has insert.<br />

996 Gilbert Erector No. 12 1/2 set from 1950 in original box and shipping carton. Set has been opened, but contents look C9<br />

area. Parts are complete and organized correctly. Metal box has shelf wear on bottom and a few scratches and paint chips<br />

in various locations. Nice lid with bright color and decals. C7 area on box. Master carton has been taped closed on one end<br />

and other end is missing all flaps and tabs. Edges are split about two inches on each edge from end missing flaps. Master is<br />

C6-7.<br />

A-49 motor is tough to find in this condition Metal box is high C7 area with a few light scratches on the lid, Decal has two<br />

small chips. Master carton has one end sealed while other end has one missing inner flap. Three other flaps attached with<br />

tape repairs. Master carton is lower C7<br />

Contents are C9-10 area. Very nice, bright and clean. Metal box is very clean. Some box rub marks on the high spots on<br />

the lid. Box however does have slight damage to one corner with a shallow dent and some paint loss. Box is otherwise<br />

lower C8. Shipper is sealed on one end, the other end is missing one inner flap and a corner on an outer flap. Shipper is C7<br />

condition. Very clean example of this great set.<br />

1001 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2333P and No. 2333T New York Central EMD diesel F3a units with one 2333P OB. Trains<br />

have original porthole lens, screened roof vents, and clean battery compartment. Box looks C7.<br />

1002 Gilbert Erector 1946 No. 9 1/2 set in original box. Set is complete and parts are in C8 condition. The lower level insert is a<br />

reproduction. The metal box is what makes this set stand out. An amazing blue box with only small paint chips at the lid<br />

corners and where the lid clasps sit. Decal is 100% there and the lid is just outstanding. One of if not the nicest metal<br />

Erector boxes out there. High C8 on the box. Pictured on page 83 of Greenberg’s Guide to Erector volume II.<br />

1004 Gilbert Erector No. 600 1950 cardboard standup amusement park store display in original box. Set includes instructions<br />

and is in great condition. The Santa panel is a reproduction. All other parts are clean and bright with the original<br />

from the factory and no set number. These sets were never cataloged, so it is believed to be a prototype. The contents of<br />

this set range from C8 to C10 with many items never opened. Lid has a few tape repairs inside the edge of the lid and the<br />

corners have some light wear. Box looks C7 area.<br />

1017 Prewar Lionel No. 241 E O gauge passenger train set in original boxes with components. Trains are 260E locomotive and<br />

260T tender, two 710 Pullman cars and 712 observation car. Trains look incredible C7-8. 710 boxes have tape repairs, C7.<br />

712 box is C8. Loco box has a little old brown paper tape, otherwise loco and tender box are C8-9. Set box is very clean<br />

and bright, nicer C7+. Clean curved and straight track, UTC Lockon, No. 95 controlling rheostat, connecting ties in OB,<br />

1018 Little Jim Construction set from the Gilbert archive. No set number on the box therefore it is most likely a prototype for a<br />

series of sets that was produced and sold through JCPenney. Set dates from 1935. The contents of the set range from C7 to<br />

C8+. Many of the painted parts look unused, while the plated parts show some light rust. Bill says that the Engineero parts<br />

box lid is very unique and he has never seen another. Box has a small section missing from side of inner box and lid<br />

corners have been repaired with tape. Lid also has some sun fading. AC Gilbert’s written on top of lid.<br />

1019 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2111WS freight set in original boxes with components. Trains are 671 locomotive with<br />

smoke chamber, 671W tender with whistle, 3469 automatic dumping ore car, 2411 flatcar w/three pipes, 2460 operating<br />

proposed Boltless Builders, and the only set to contain an electric motor. Contents are C9-10. Box lid has some chipping of<br />

the faux wood at the corners of the lid and some sun fading to the lower part of the box . Box is C7+.<br />

1025 Prewar Lionel O gauge No. 265E steam locomotive and No. 265WX tender with whistle, original boxes only. Loco box is<br />

ink stamped BL and tender box is ink stamped X BLUE. Tender box is partially missing inner coupler protection flaps, O/<br />

W C6-7. Loco box has insert and looks C8 with a couple small punctures to a front panel.<br />

1026 Another wonderful Gilbert historic item. This is the brass whistle from the Gilbert factory located at One Erector Square in<br />

New Haven. Whistle was made by Powell’s which is stamped in valve casting. Whistle is missing some valve parts. Bell<br />

measures four inches in diameter and is fifteen inches tall. Very neat item!<br />

1034 Seven authentic pieces of correspondence between AC Gilbert and Walter Bradley ( An inventor ) regarding Bradly’s<br />

windmill toy. Includes four letters between both parties, two contracts and one card from Bradley stating when he<br />

presented the original idea. One authentic AC Gilbert signature on the letters. Letters are in great condition with normal<br />

mailing folds, one letter does have two very light paperclip rust stains on the paper.

and curved track. Set contained the following trains: 224 steam loco, 2466W whistle tender, 2458 automobile car, 2452<br />

1036 Five original pieces of AC Gilbert Company correspondence. These letters date between 1915 and 1935. Subject matter<br />

ranges from hardware store Erector sales to the expected increase in sales of the No. 7 1/2 set in 1935. Included in these<br />

letters are one original Thompson signature and one original Trisch signature. 1915 letter has some wear on the right edge<br />

of the page and 1935 letter has some light stains in the upper left corner. Otherwise letter show normal mailing folds but<br />

are in good condition.<br />

Gilbert products, including accounts, line improvements, how each line was sold in groups, company memos and more. A<br />

very neat piece to even flip through, tons of great Gilbert information for those who are interested in the day to day details<br />

of how Gilbert ran. Additional notes on this item can be found in the notes section of this catalog.<br />

repainted silver. Most of the parts are C8 to C9 condition. The drawers are mostly organized, but some of the original parts<br />

1058 Gilbert Erector 1927 No. 10 set in original wooden chest. The 1927 No. 10 is the most desirable of the chest of drawer sets.<br />

Bill says no other set comes close to this in quality. This set is complete and correctly displayed in the original containers.<br />

Many of the painted parts are still wrapped in the original paper. All thirty six cardboard parts boxes are here and in like<br />

new condition. The drawer labels are original and very clean. The decal on the 3 drum hoist is perfect and original. Also<br />

present is the original 17 x 22 inch parts list. Chest shows some light scratches on sides, but decal is very clean. Overall C8<br />

to C8+ condition.<br />

1059 Prewar Lionel O gauge Blue Streak passenger train with No. 265-E streamlined steam loco, 265WX whistle tender, 617<br />

coach, 618 observation, and 619 combine. Nice trains that look very clean and shiny C6++ area. Loco cab roof has mild<br />

casting fatigue, and repaired corner.<br />

and No. 2857 New York Central caboose (2957 body) w/one drooping step. Trains look C7 area. Castings are near perfect<br />

with the exception of the caboose step/platform. Very clean train with a great even sheen across the set. Car boxes have<br />

some tears, tape repaired flaps, etc. Loco box looks C7-8. Set box has worn flap folds, older tape marks, light/moderate<br />

wear. Box is not missing any flaps. Box is fairly solid. All/most all paper work included. RCS in OB w/controller, track<br />

ties in OB, and No. 167 whistle controller in OB w/insert. 2857 is in 2957 overstamped OB, 167 OB is ink stamped S on<br />

one end flap. Cubes were in a manila envelope ink stamped 95007. Smoke pellet container has whole pellets in it.<br />

is cracked. Box has inner paper tape flap repairs/reinforcements. Box is bright, clean, square and solid, looks C7 area.<br />

1082 1915 Erector Tips magazine. Color Christmas issue from November 1915. Twelve pages total. A few pages have split at<br />

the center crease and some splitting at the top and bottom of spine. Otherwise very clean.<br />

1083 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 308 Railroad Sign Set in original box. Signs are C9-10. Box is C9-10 in shape with some<br />

light fading to exterior. Interior is brilliant and vivid.<br />

1107 Tough Lionel 813 prewar stock car. This very hard to find car is one of the nicest examples of this car that we have sold.<br />

Outstanding lettering and paint is in the C8+ category. The car does need one brake wheel replaced and has a touch up on<br />

Factory shipping carton also included, in very nice condition. The box was opened at the top and includes inserts. Side<br />

have a few small dings and some wear on the labels, but considering the factory instructions told dealers to cut the carton<br />

with light wear on the label, but it is complete.<br />
