Toy Train <strong>Auction</strong> Lot Descriptions February, 2011 STOUT AUCTIONS 900 Gilbert Erector No. 7 1/2 set produced in 1935. Contents of the set are complete and C8-9 condition. Includes instruction booklet, 1934 model contest winner sheet, and Gilbert catalog sheet. This set also contains the sky - scraper parts. Set box is C7+ with some paint scratches on lid and small dent on one corner. Decal is complete and clean on lid. 901 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2625 passenger cars in original boxes with inserts and wrapping paper. Trains are Madison, Irvington and Manhattan Pullman cars. Madison car has a cracked shell, otherwise cars look C6-7. Boxes have tape repaired/torn flaps, none are missing. Boxes are bright, square, and solid. 902 Gilbert No. 10 1938 tool chest. Tool chest is believed to be complete and tools are in very good C8 condition. Set box has clean and complete decal. Only a few minor dings in lid and some scratches. Very nice color C7-8. 903 Two prewar Lionel O gauge No. 2814 automobile/furniture boxcars with Nickel trim, C6-7. 904 Gilbert 1940 No. 10 electrical set in OB. Set is complete and correctly organized. Includes all three instruction booklets and catalog flyer. This set also includes the “Electric Eye”. Contents are C8-9. Box shows some paint loss around the lid edges but decal is about 95% complete and very clean. 905 Prewar Lionel OO gauge No. 0090W freight train outfit for 2 rail track with remote control whistle. Set is composed of 003 loco, 003W tender with whistle, 0044 boxcar, 0045 oil car, 0046 hopper, and 0047 caboose. Trains look C7-9, very clean. Boxes have some missing flaps, but each has wrapping material. No. 167X whistle controller in OB w/insert, included. OB with OO gauge track outfit for two rail w/track, dividers, and insert. Track has a little layout paint, box is missing flaps on one end. Set box has a little staining and bottom flaps are glued? shut. Instructions sheet and extra piece of wrapping material included. 906 Gilbert 1934 No. 5 electrical set in OB. Set contents are complete and correctly displayed. Contents are generally C8+. Includes both instruction books and 1934 model contest winners. This set has a very scarce art deco style lid insert. Crackle finish box is very good with only a few small paint chips. Label is complete with only a few wear marks. Box is C8 condition. 907 Prewar Lionel Outfit No. 708 in original boxes. Outfit is composed of 701 scale switcher rubber stamped version and 701T scale tender in individual boxes. Trains look C7 area. Inner boxes are very solid, but look C7 area. Outfit box has missing inner flaps, very nice label and a sharp and bright ink stamping. Box shows very light wear. No. 88 controller in OB included. 908 Gilbert Erector 1935 No. 4 1/2 set in OB. Contents are complete and correctly displayed. Includes vial of 3 in 1 oil and other neat items such as skyscraper panels and a near perfect A-52 motor. C8-9 on contents. Box has some paint loss on lid and edges of lid. Decal is about 90% complete. Box is C7. 909 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2400 Maplewood illuminated Pullman passenger car, C7+ in original box with insert and wrapping paper, OB is C9 with original price written in corner of end flap. Car has yellow paint on a corner that looks like a factory error/smudge. 910 Gilbert Erector 1933 No. 7 set in OB. Set is complete and correctly displayed. Includes original instruction booklet. Contents are C7-8 and very clean. Outside lid is in very good condition with only minor paint loss along front edge of lid. Decal is complete and in very nice condition. Box is C7-8. A tough set to find in this nice condition. 911 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 1656 steam switcher with No. 6403 bell ringing tender, in original boxes, C7 area. Boxes have older tape residue and light wear. Square and strong boxes. 912 Gilbert Erector No. 10 1/2 amusement park set in OB. Contents are complete and displayed correctly. Includes instructions, patent sheets and how to get the most fun from your Erector sheet. Contents are C9 area with a few parts showing very light play wear. Box has normal paint loss by latches and a few very minor paint chips in lid. Box is C8. 913 Prewar Lionel O gauge Blue Comet passenger train with No. 263E steam loco, 2263W tender w/whistle, 2615 baggage, 2613 Pullman, 2614 observation car. Trains are C6-8. Car boxes are missing flaps on one end. Loco and tender boxes look C8-9. Set box is C7. Instructions booklet and catalog included. RCS in OB w/controller, No. 67 whistle controller in OB, connecting ties in OB included.
Toy Train <strong>Auction</strong> Lot Descriptions February, 2011 STOUT AUCTIONS 914 Gilbert Erector No. 6 1/2 M set in OB. Bill has never seen another rubber stamped 6 1/2 M, real curiosity. Set was produced in 1935 and is complete and correctly displayed. Includes instruction booklet. Contents are C7-8. Box has some light paint loss inside the lid as well as some scratches and a shallow dent in the upper corner. Decal is about 95% complete with a few small chips. Box is C7+. 915 Prewar Lionel standard gauge No. 366E steam passenger set with No. 1835E steam loco, 1835T tender, 309 Pullman, 310 Railway Mail, and 312 observation. Loco and tender have typical casting issues, steam chests, trailing and lead wheels on loco and tender shell. Loco looks C7 area. Tender is sold as is with no returns. Extra tender shell w/casting fatigue, also sold as is with no returns. 309 has very small ding in roof otherwise cars look C7-8. Car boxes are C9 area and are all correctly marked for Blue cars. Tender box is C9-10. No loco box. Set box is missing three flaps on top, tear to fold of remaining flap. View photos for condition of box. Connecting ties in OB and OTC included. 916 Unusual and possibly one of a kind 1934 Gilbert Erector No. 6 set in OB. Set is complete but not organized or displayed correctly. Includes instructions. Contents are C7+. The box is a very scarce red variation. Box is C7 condition with some paint loss along the lid edge and some scratches. Decal has some chips along edges. 917 Postwar Lionel Outfit No. 2190W Santa Fe twin diesel O gauge passenger train with horn in original boxes. Set is composed of No. 2343P and No. 2343T Santa Fe EMD F3a diesel units with original porthole lens, screened roof vents and clean battery compartment. Passenger cars are: 2531 Silver Dawn observation, 2532 Silver Range Astra-Dome car, 2533 Silver Cloud Pullman, and 2534 Silver Bluff Pullman. Cars all have matching round head rivet name plates. Cars are very clean, C6+. Powered unit is clean C7 area. T is missing a hand grab on nose, unit should clean C6-7. P box is C9 area with older tape residue on opened flap area, with wrapping paper and insert. T box has some tears and skinning from tape removal, bright and solid, with insert and wrapping paper. Car boxes look C8 area. Set box has partially split corners, otherwise C7. RCS in OB with controller, connecting ties in envelope, track, CTC Lockons, small tubes of lubricant, instructions sheets, billboards, instructions booklet and service station pamphlet included. 918 Gilbert Erector No. 4 set in OB. Set was produced in 1934 and is complete and correctly displayed. 1934 was the only year the No.4 set came in a metal box. Includes instruction booklet. Contents are lower C8. Lower insert in the box is a reproduction. Box has some scratches on the lid and normal paint loss by the lid hold downs. Decal is the more unusual black background and is about 97% complete with a few small chips. Box is lower C8. 919 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2124W passenger train outfit set box with components. Box has a partially split corner, shallow scratch down a side panel and light label. Box is C7 in shape. Components included are straight and curved standard O gauge track, No. 167 whistle controller in OB w/insert, RCS in OB w/controller and connecting ties in OB w/ CTC Lockon, and small tube of lubricant. Form No. 497, 1949 instructions and FUN with Lionel model railroading, booklets included. 920 Gilbert Erector No 10 1/2 electric train set in OB. Set was produced in 1940 and includes tough nickel trimmed 420 loco. Contents are complete and correctly displayed. Loco is C7-8 with casting fatigue on pilot wheels. Transformer cord is brittle. Otherwise contents is C7-8. Box is C7+ with some scratches on lid and some very small and light rust spots. 921 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2332 Pennsylvania green five stripe GG-1 electric locomotive in original box with insert, C7 area. Box is C8+ with some writing. 922 Gilbert Erector 1936 No. 10 1/2 Hudson loco and tender in OB. Wow! The contents of this set are great. Many parts still wrapped in factory paper, a few of the exposed parts have some light scratches. Includes both instruction books and catalog flyer. Bill states these parts have never been assembled and the condition reflects that. Parts range C8+ to C10. Box has very little paint loss, a few chips around the corner of the lid and one or two very small sections on the lid. Label has some small chips. Amazing set in great condition! 923 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 671 locomotive with smoke chamber and No. 2671WX Pennsylvania tender with whistle, in original boxes,. Trains look nicer C6 area. Loco box is missing flaps on one end, insert is present. Tender box looks C7. 924 Gilbert Erector 1933 No. 7 set in OB. Set is the earliest version of the 1933 No. 7 set. Lid insert slides in through the upper and lower bracket and box has large label on the lid. Contents are complete and correctly displayed. Includes instruction manual. Parts look C7-8. Lower insert in the box is a reproduction. Box does have some wear and is C6-7 condition
