Toy Train <strong>Auction</strong> Lot Descriptions February, 2011 STOUT AUCTIONS 1191 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 50 gang car in original box. Train has U shaped bumper mounts and side horn. Car has all three gandy dancers and all three levers. Box looks C8+, Old tape marks. 1192 Gilbert dealer catalogs. Includes D1973 twelve page 1957 catalog and D2858 1958 twelve page catalog with envelope. Both catalogs in like new condition. 1193 Postwar Lionel O gauge Shell Oil Manufacturer Promotional Type IIIb purchase, complete and original set. Outfit No. 19281 in 62-385 set box with 3349-1 substitution. Set is composed of 231P Rock Island diesel Alco A unit, 3349-1 turbo missile firing car, 6473 horse car, hopper, cable reel flatcar, caboose. 3349-1 and 6473 have been run. Rest of trains are unrun. Entire set looks C8-9. Track is brilliantly shiny, new looking. Seven straight sections are still have their original retaining wire. Type 1025 transformer has supple original cord, C9. Catalog, accessories catalog, order form, instructions sheets, and 1103-21 components envelope, included. 110 trestle set in orange box, retainers are present but missing some small trestles. Box looks C7-8. Set box looks C7-8. 1194 Gilbert dealer catalogs including D2120 1959 east coast, D21211959 west coast, D2205 1960 east coast, and D 2237 1960 west coast. Catalogs are in excellent condition. 1195 Postwar Lionel outfit 2549W for Super O track, in original box. Set is comprised of No. 2349 Northern Pacific GP-9 diesel locomotive, un-cracked C8 shell and C7 chassis; 6650 rocket launcher, 3540 operating radar car, 3535 AEC security car, 6819 flatcar w/helicopter (copter has repro tail section), and 6470 explosives boxcar. Trains look C7-8. Inner car boxes look very nice with missing flaps and a push in tab. Set box looks C8 with some writing on flaps. 1196 Six Gilbert consumer flyers including 1957, 1958, two 1961 and two 1959. All items in excellent condition. 1197 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 455 oil derrick and pumper in original box, C7-8. Four metal barrels and Sunoco sign included. Box has great printing, box has no missing flaps. 1198 Gilbert dealer catalogs, eight total. Includes 1960 through 1966 and 1972. Catalogs all in very good to excellent condition. 1199 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 6557 illuminated smoke caboose in original box with instructions sheet and No. 909 smoke empty fluid bottle, train looks C8. Box looks C8 with partially missing inner coupler protection flap and very small tear at a tuck flap fold. 1200 Four Meccano catalogs from 1914, 1921, 1924, and 1927. Catalogs are in very good condition. See photos for best description. 1201 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 3359 operating twin bin dump car, 3424 Wabash operating brakeman car with insert and some components, 3469X automatic dump car, and 6457-25 caboose, in original boxes. Trains look real nice C7 area except 3469X has some very light surface rust starting on an end/handrail. Boxes are clean with 3469X missing a tuck flap. 1202 Six early Meccano flyers and manuals including Meccano Guild flyer, Meccano wonder book, 1917-18 prize competition flyer, 1917 Meccano catalog flyer, How Jack discovered the perfect toy booklet, and Meccano standard mechanisms booklet. Items range good to very good condition. 1203 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 3650 searchlight extension car in both dark and light variations. Dark has surface rust on rivets, otherwise cars should clean to look C7 area. One crank handle and one instructions sheet included. Two original boxes, no missing flaps, some tape repairs. 1204 Five early Meccano flyers and catalogs including Adventures in Meccanoland , Multi color Meccano flyer, 1915-16 prize flyer, Meccano letter, and 1927-28 prize contest flyer. Items range good to very good condition. 1205 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2383P and No. 2383T Santa Fe EMD F3 diesel units in original boxes. P unit looks C7 area. T unit has crack in nose, O/W would look C7 area. T box has light puncture marks from a set of wheels. Otherwise boxes look C8 area. 1206 Five Meccano catalogs including 1938, 1948, 1949, 1956, and 1971. Catalogs range good to very good condition.
Toy Train <strong>Auction</strong> Lot Descriptions February, 2011 STOUT AUCTIONS 1207 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2452X Pennsylvania gondola w/four barrels, 2465 Sunoco tank, and two 2457 Pennsylvania cabooses. Trains look clean C6 area. Boxes have some missing flaps, tears, etc. All have inserts. 1208 Two Ives large stamp size items including Ives Struktiron bridge stamp and 1915 San Francisco Manufactures Multi Plex Co- Exhibits pass. Items in very good condition. 1209 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 6464-275 State of Maine Bangor and Aroostook boxcar in original box, C7+. Box is square and solid with a missing tuck flap. 1210 Gilbert Erector mechanical wonders store display. Display is Circa 1930 and is an amazing and rare piece. This display is the only one known to exist. This was removed from a hobby store in Ypsalante, Michigan. Gilbert crated it to demonstrate all the wonderful mechanical movements that could be built with Erector. Original cord still attached and display runs great. Display has some very light paint loss around the edges other than that a very cool display item. Due to the size of this item normal shipping will not be available. Buyer must make special arrangements or pick up is strongly encouraged. 1211 Postwar Lionel O gauge, two No. 2432 Clifton vista dome cars, 2434 Newark Pullman, and 2436 Mooseheart observation, red letter passenger cars with one 2432 original box. Trains look C7 area. Box is solid with masking tape on seam, no missing flaps. 1212 1935 (Gilbert) Meccano Morecraft store display with 1935 Meccano Morecraft Set No. B. Set contents are C8-9 while box is C7 area. Display shows some wear at the flap inserts and tabs. Otherwise colors are nice and no major visible issues. C7 area. 1213 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 68 executive inspection car, C6+. 1214 Gilbert Erector circa 1956 factory assembled No. 8 1/2 Ferris Wheel display in original factory shipping carton. Wheel is in great C8-9 condition, some small paint chips where the gondolas rotate, other than that a great example of a tough item. Factory shipping carton also included, in very nice condition. The box was opened at the top and includes inserts. Side have a few small dings and some wear on the labels, but considering the factory instructions told dealers to cut the carton open to remove, this is well intact. Due to the size of this item normal shipping will not be available. Buyer must make special arrangements or pick up is strongly encouraged. 1215 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 2353P and No. 2353T Santa Fe diesel F3a units with an unnumbered B unit. Trains have original porthole lens and louvered roof vents, C6++. Trains are clean and shiny, T unit has a perfectly clean battery compartment. 1216 This is the largest factory assembled Erector store display ever produced by the AC Gilbert company. This is an extremely rare display and this is the only example known to have survived. Display is complete and in C7+ condition. A few girders have some plating wear and the cardboard sign in the center has some light skinning around the hold down areas. Due to the size of this item normal shipping will not be available. Buyer must make special arrangements or pick up is strongly encouraged. 1217 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 6801 flatcar with boat and two 6800 flatcars with airplanes. Cars look C7 and should clean to look better. Black over yellow plane looks C6. 1218 Gilbert Erector set motorized carousel from “The Man Who Saved Christmas” Prop was built by Bill Bean for the film. Carousel shows light handing but beams and girders are very clean. Shown very extensively in the film. Comes with prop tag signed by Bill. C8. 1219 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 6464-900 N.Y.C. boxcar in OB, C7. Box has no missing flaps. 1220 Circa 1924 Gilbert Erector coal loader model. This coal loader model is famous because it was pictured on the instruction manual covers from 1925 through 1938. This model includes a very tough like new clam shell bucket. This clam shell is real and not a reproduction. Model has some paint chips on the roof of the buildings. Looks C7+. Due to the size of this item normal shipping will not be available. Buyer must make special arrangements or pick up is strongly encouraged. 1221 Postwar Lionel O gauge No. 6807 flatcar with original Pyro military load, C7 and should clean to look better.
