The “Maciej” Shaft in Zabrze
The Maciej Shaft is a group of
facilities and equipment of the
former Concordia Mine located
in Upper Silesia in Poland. The
first private coal mine in
Zabrze, which began mining in
1843. In 1992 the area of the
Maciej Shaft was liquidated
due to exhaustion of coal
deposits (its- Poland, 2021).
