Unforgettable Italian Experience

Elegant, simple and modern, Filini is offering you an unforgettable Italian
experience that is difficult to resist. Located at the Radisson Blu Hotel in
Heliopolis, this place definitely knows all the ins and outs of Italian taste,
flavor and color.
tepping in, you will
surely realize that much
thought was put into the
décor of the place: the
entrance’s beige wall is
cleverly decorated with
juicy names of traditional
dishes, smartly set-up wooden tables
feature such must-have attributes
as balsamic vinegar and olive oil,
whereas the parquet floor and comfy
chairs underline once again the true
Italian spirit of this unique venue.
Filini’s open kitchen was yet another
asset, tickling our senses with overwhelming
smells, fusing together garlic,
olive oil and various Italian spices.
No wonder we were so hungry when
the food was brought. We kicked off
with fresh home-made bread (Focaccia
and Grissini) that was especially
tasty once the waiter let us try it with
the dip made of olive oil and balsamic
vinegar. The appetizers were also
worthy: we could either choose from
an array of separate antipasti items
or take a selection of vegetable, meat
or seafood hors d’oeuvre, which we
did. The portions were exceptionally
big proudly presenting marinated and
grilled items.
The main dishes soon followed. The
juicy and tender Pan Fried Sea Bass
and the crispy Fritto Misto di Mare
(prawns, calamari, sea bass and aioli
served with a finger licking dip) were
literally melting in our mouths; while
the Rosemary Roast Potatoes and Garlic
Mashed Potatoes with Parmesan Cheese
were perfectly complementing the nutritious
yet light meal (isn’t that what
all women want?)
But Filini has many other surprises:
the menu boasts a plenitude of traditional
Italian dishes ranging from pasta
to pizza and risotto. For additional
pleasure (if you consider yourself a
die-hard food-lover), check out the
dessert menu, which has a variety of
mouthwatering sweets like the Toasted
Almond Semifreddo or Chocolate Fondant
with Pistachio Ice Cream.
The excellence of the restaurant is
further stressed by its efficient service
and the friendly, attentive staff, making
this place worthy of your next visit.
