"Municipalism is a collectivist ideology that
recognizes that in order to achieve
transformational change, it is essential to
collaborate with all the entities and stakeholders
that make up the municipality, or the municipal
ecosystem composed of the various actors and
stakeholders. Municipalism also recognizes the
importance of the town or city as the uniting
entity of people, since it is the space in which
they live and develop, both personally and
professionally. Municipalism is an approach used
to implement social and systemic change, using
the municipality as the vehicle to achieve the
desired change."
