by the new team of costumed characters.<br />

Meet the legends and pioneers of<br />

Brooklands past and experience what a day<br />

at the track would have felt like in the early<br />

1900s.<br />

There are 32 acres of space to explore;<br />

whether you’re walking around the historic<br />

banked race circuit or beneath the wings of<br />

the giant aeroplanes in the aircraft park or<br />

relaxing on the Paddock lawn with an ice<br />

cream, you’re guaranteed a great time.<br />

Get interactive in the award-winning<br />

Brooklands Aircraft Factory and have a go<br />

at making and designing your own aircraft or<br />

drive a bus around the streets of London in<br />

the new Bus Driver Training Simulator.<br />

Don’t forget to visit the McLaren: Driven<br />

by design exhibition which features the<br />

McLaren Senna concept and prototype cars<br />

alongside a life-size LEGO McLaren Spyder<br />

720S. Discover what it takes to design a<br />

supercar and build your own race car at the<br />

LEGO building station, and then head to the<br />

Grand Prix Exhibition to drive around the<br />

Brooklands track in a Formula 1 simulator.<br />

Every year, Brooklands Museum hosts<br />

special event days dedicated to particular<br />

marques, and this summer, they’ll be<br />

celebrating the centenary of Aston Martin<br />

Lagonda with the Aston Martin Heritage<br />

Festival (14th <strong>Aug</strong>ust), where hundreds<br />

of James Bond-style cars will gather for<br />

displays and parades, topped off with a<br />

choice of pop-up food and drink stalls and<br />

live entertainment.<br />

For the first time ever, Brooklands will<br />

be welcoming the Vintage Japanese<br />

Motorcycle Club, joined by classic<br />

Japanese car clubs in a display of Mazda,<br />

Subaru, Honda, Toyota and other marques.<br />

Take a drive down route 66, as American<br />

Car Day (4th <strong>Sep</strong>tember) makes its return.<br />

Think Chevrolets, Cadillacs, Mustangs,<br />

trucks, stars and stripes, and a lot more.<br />

And a day that every child (and adult)<br />

love, is the Emergency Services Day (11th<br />

<strong>Sep</strong>tember). Say thank you to some of the<br />

heroes of our country and get up close to<br />

traditional and modern-day fire engines,<br />

police cars, ambulances. And don’t miss<br />

the chance to meet some furry heroes, as<br />

PAW Patrol pups Chase, Marshall and Skye<br />

join the activities for the day. Blue Light card<br />

holders get a discount for this event.<br />
