One of his shows, called Calligraphie d’ombre et de lumiere (calligraphy of
shadow and light), focuses on creating calligraphy works before the eyes
of the viewers (Massoudy calligrapher, n.d.). The works were projected
on a screen at the same time and created a contrast between the black
letters and bright light. “The movement accelerates; the word charged with
energy eventually finds its perfect
balance” (Massoudy calligrapher,
n.d.). The rhythms, movements,
and geometry of the calligraphy
are uncovered. The compositions
are created and these dynamics
of the gesture gives life to poetry
and inscriptions Massoudy utilises
in this show (Massoudy calligrapher,
n.d.).
