to make sure learning is more accessible to adults in
Bradford than ever before. We also offer a wide range
of bursaries and grants, there’s adult learning loans
and the ‘Free Courses For Jobs’ incentive that unlocks
free qualifications in a range of professions.

Maths and English
If you are 19+ and do not have a GCSE in (Maths or
English at Grade 4 / C or above) you will receive full fee
remission.
Low Income Fee Remission
You may not have to pay for your course (selected
courses only) if:
• Employed/ Self-Employed learners earning less
than £19,305 per year (£18,525 if not from an eligible postcode)

• You are in receipt of JSA/ESA, Universal Credit,
Carer’s Allowance, or Employment Support
• You are an asylum seeker and have been in the
UK for more than six months
Future Courses for Jobs
Your course might be covered under Future Courses
for Jobs if:
• You are 19+ plus at the start of your level 3 course
and currently don’t hold a full level 3 qualification
• You are 19+ plus at the start of your course and
studying an additional level 3 and meet the any of
the fee remission criteria above
Advanced Learner Loans Information
If you wish to study a full Level 3 or above, you may
be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the
cost of your course.

Full Fee Payable Courses
Some courses at Bradford College are full fee payable.
We are unable to waive the fees on these courses or
offer discounts. This means that everyone has to pay
the full amount for these courses.
16-18 year olds
Students aged 16 – 18 years old are not required to pay
course fees on most full-time study programmes.
Payment methods
You must pay fees in full at the time of enrolment.
Annual payments will be made for courses of more
than one year in duration. You may be able to pay in
instalments. You can pay by credit/debit card or cash
in the David Hockney Building, or by bank transfer.
Employer / Sponsor Paying
If your employer is paying for your course fees please
provide a letter on Company letterhead stating the
course and fee your employer is paying.
Non-Payment of Fees
You may be withdrawn from your course if you do not
pay your tuition fees.
Refunds
Full refunds will automatically be given where courses
do not run. Refund of tuition fees, once the course
has started, will only be approved in exceptional
circumstances. The College will not refund any
portion of a student loan that you have taken out to
cover your course fees.

We operate in the city centre on our main campus
as well as at a wide range of community centres
and locations throughout the district. If you don’t see
something near you and have a group of people
interested in studying with you, please get in touch, we
are always looking for new pockets of the community
to work with. Our venues are listed in the later pages of
this booklet.

If you are aged 19 or over without the qualifications you need to enter higher education, these one-year,
intensive courses are ideal for you. Our Access courses build the skills, knowledge and confidence you
need to progress on to higher education in the subject area you’re interested in. They are recognised by
universities across the UK and allow entry on to higher education courses in your chosen specialist area.
With small class sizes, and all the individual support you need to get back into education, we will help you
succeed and reach your goal. Our experienced tutors have been teaching Access to HE courses for many
years and are industry professionals.

Advanced Learner Loans are available to cover
tuition fees. Where you go on to complete a degree
afterwards, the loan for the Access course will be
wiped and you will not need to repay the money.
