The LK Evolution is designed to provide a measuring solution to meet the
most exacting industrial quality requirements for medium to large component
inspection.
As with all Metris high accuracy CMM’s, the LK Evolution design is based around
the unique usage of ceramic materials for the construction of the critical bridge
and spindle components of the machine, coupled with proven air-bearing design,
providing the ultimate in stiffness and stability to deliver signifi cantly improved
repeatability and longevity.
Highly successful applications include examples of complex and demanding
component inspection such as large turbine and fan blades, large power / gear train
components, and large propeller/impellors. Other more general manufacturing
and engineering solutions include medium-to-large sized prismatic and sheet
metal applications in both contact and non-contact scanning applications.
The LK Evolution can also be used across an extended temperature range in
it’s Therma variant, offering you the option to locate the LK Evolution practically
anywhere, to support your metrology requirements whatever the operating

capability of the LK Evolution will give you the capability to meet and exceed
your application needs across a full range of machine sizes. Supported probing
options include touch-trigger digital, analogue scanning and laser stripe probing
for geometric, free-form and non-contact inspection, all fully interchangeable to
facilitate measurement of complex and demanding components.
