A big welcome to Mr.
Michael Collier and his
family. Mr. Collier is the
new principal of Bright
Elementary School. I spoke
with Mr. Collier briefly
and he is looking forward
to the school year and his
new position. Mr. Collier is
a former teacher from the
Indianapolis area. Joining
Michael is his wife Sarah,
a registered nurse, and their
three-year-old son, Andrew.

Church had an Independence
Day celebration with all kinds
of foods and a chili cookoff,
games, and activities.

The Bright Lions new
officers for the coming year
are President- Diane Bender,
Secretary- Tina Hallas, and
Treasurer- Art Little. The
Lions are always looking for
new members to help with
our community services,
primarily loaning health care
equipment to those in need.

Diane and Greg Deck
recently returned from a
dream vacation. They took
an eight-day cruise on the
Rhine River beginning in
Amsterdam, the Netherlands
stopping in Kinderdijk,
Netherlands, and then on
to Cologne, Koblenz, and
Speyer, Germany. The next
stop was Strasbourg, France,
and then ending in Basel,

Before 2020, young men
of All Saints Parish had the
opportunity to travel to the
Holy Land. Through generous
donations, former altar servers
who recently graduated from
high school were given this
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
to travel abroad. This year the
annual trip commenced after
COVID-19, but the destination
has been changed. Nine
young men traveled to Fraser,
took that sentiment to heart
in a big way. The son of
Eoghan and Lauren Reade,
Liam shares the love of golf
with his father. He received
his first set of clubs at the
age of four. Fast forward a
mere four years and Liam
is playing golf in the Irish
Open in Tullow, Ireland!
Over one hundred twenty
young golfers from twentytwo
countries participated.
Liam finished seventh in his
age group, setting the best
two-tournament rounds of his
young career.
According to Liam’s father
Eoghan, “The Irish Open was
of particular interest to Liam,
with me being originally
from Ireland. Liam dreams of
someday representing Ireland
in the Olympics (He holds
dual citizenship).”
Proud grandparents Dan
and Tonyia Cormican and
great-grandparents Ray and
Ruth-Ann Schlemmer are
lifelong residents of Bright.
Who knows- perhaps
Liam’s sister Caitriona will
carry on the family tradition.
Now at age three, she has a
few years to catch up!
Congratulations Liam!
We look forward to seeing
where your talents take
you. Upcoming September

CO, to help them become
closer to each other and God.
Because the trip did not occur
in 2020 or 2021, young men
who graduated then were also

Meyer made the five-day trek.
