Who is this course suitable for? 3<br />

If you are already a <strong>dancer</strong>, dance educator, physiotherapist, movement practitioner or<br />

dance teacher who wants to incorporate yoga principles into your work then this course is<br />

for you.<br />

If you are already qualified as a yoga teacher at the 200-hour level and wish to delve<br />

deeper into a specialised area such as dance or performance then this course is for you,<br />

as you can gain accreditation at the 500-hour level with <strong>Yoga</strong> Alliance UK.<br />

Due to the expectation that you will already be a dance or teaching professional, the<br />

course will be held at a higher level than most yoga teacher trainings, since applicants will<br />

already possess a strong understanding of the human body, movement principles and<br />

pedagogical methods from previous dance training and careers.<br />

Pre-requisites: Previous yoga teacher training, experience of teaching movement or<br />

dance, physiotherapy or movement therapy qualifications or similar. All participants are<br />

expected to have an established yoga practice, evidence of which must be supported by<br />

an interview or practice day, or by taking part in one of our tutors’ open classes. Details of<br />

all teachers’ timetables are available on their individual websites. We encourage you to<br />

ask us questions in advance to determine if this course is a fit for you – and us!<br />

Who will you be taught by?<br />

The faculty is comprised of highly experienced teachers, trainers who been practising and<br />

teaching yoga for many years in a variety of traditions. Some of us are also <strong>dancer</strong>s and<br />

performers and so understand the demands and workings of the profession. As course<br />

mentors, our teachers will provide warm, supportive and professional guidance, and you<br />

will have the opportunity to take part in classes with us, as well as observe and assist, the<br />

cornerstone of your development as a teacher
