Why Texas Woman’s?
Quality
Since its founding more than a century ago,
Texas Woman’s has become known for its
contributions and leadership in the fields of
nursing, education, physical therapy, occupational
therapy, biology, kinesiology, nutrition, the arts
and sciences, and business.
Location
Our booming North Texas location in the college
town of Denton — just 40 miles from Dallas
and Fort Worth — assures our students easy
access to arts, culture and career possibilities.
TWU also offers a variety of online courses for
self-disciplined students who enjoy working
independently.
Value
TWU is a public university offering the student
support and small class sizes traditionally
expected at a private university.
Culture
As the nation’s largest public university system
primarily for women, Texas Woman’s prides itself
on providing women and men with a quality and
well-rounded educational experience focused
on service, health and well-being, and integrity.
Respect for diversity in all aspects of life and a
safe campus environment are the hallmarks of a
TWU education.
Our Campuses
TWU’s 270-acre main campus in Denton is the
starting point for most students. Our health
sciences centers in Dallas and Houston offer
mostly graduate programs with a health care
focus. Denton also is named a best college town
in Texas by BestColleges.com.
