In the following, guests with visual impairments will therefore find general information, information on using the attractions, guide dogs and assistance dogs, visiting the show and taking a break in our restaurants, bars and cafés. Dear guests,<br />
Introduction<br />
the safety and health of our guests is a<br />
top priority at <strong>Europa</strong>-Park. In order to ensure<br />
this, our engineers and technicians<br />
constantly test and check our systems<br />
in cooperation and accordance <strong>with</strong> the<br />
guidelines of the Technical Inspection<br />
Association (TÜV).<br />
As a guest, you should be able to enjoy<br />
what we offer at <strong>Europa</strong>-Park as carefree<br />
and as much as possible.<br />
Due to the specific movements, speeds,<br />
restraining systems and the effects in place,<br />
some of our attractions place higher<br />
demands on the body and mind than those<br />
that are experienced in everyday life.<br />

A potentially necessary evacuation may<br />
also represent a particular type of stress.<br />
These increased requirements and the<br />
resulting guidelines <strong>for</strong> the safe use of<br />
theme park rides are specified by DIN<br />
EN 13814, and compliance <strong>with</strong> them is<br />
monitored by the Technical Inspection Association<br />
(TÜV).<br />
There<strong>for</strong>e, not all rides can be cleared <strong>for</strong><br />
general use by guests <strong>with</strong> <strong>impairments</strong> or<br />
health restrictions.<br />

General in<strong>for</strong>mation <strong>for</strong><br />
the use of the attractions<br />
Please only use an attraction if you are<br />
physically able to do so. If you are not<br />
sure whether an attraction is suitable <strong>for</strong><br />
you, speak to your doctor be<strong>for</strong>e visiting<br />
<strong>Europa</strong>-Park and contact our guest service.<br />
Have your accompanying carer describe<br />
the attraction to you be<strong>for</strong>e you set off or<br />
speak to our employees at the in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />
offices and attractions. They will be happy<br />
to answer your questions and explain the<br />
attractions to you.<br />
Please note the following points:<br />
• Some systems have a minimum age, a<br />
minimum height and a maximum height.<br />
In the event of falling below or exceeding<br />
these limits, usage of the attraction is<br />
not permitted. You will find a measuring<br />
stick at the entrance to the rides in order<br />
to check your height. Our employees will<br />
be happy to help you.<br />
• On some of our rides, such as blue fire<br />
Megacoaster, Silver Star, Voltron Nevera<br />

powered by Rimac and WODAN - Timburcoaster,<br />
high lifting <strong>for</strong>ces occur. These<br />
rides use special restraint systems. Use<br />
of these restraint systems is not permitted<br />
<strong>for</strong> people who have a particular thigh<br />
and/or body size that prevents the system<br />
from functioning properly. You will<br />
find a trial seat at the entrance of these<br />
attractions to check the proper fit of the<br />
restraint system in advance.<br />
• Guests who are under the noticeable<br />
influence of alcohol, drugs or medication<br />
are not permitted to use the ride.<br />
• Guests <strong>with</strong> acute injuries or who have<br />
recently had an operation may not be<br />
allowed to use the rides.<br />
• Assistance dogs are allowed on the<br />
parkʼs means of transport (EP-Express,<br />
Panorama Train, Monorail). With the<br />
exception of the Euro-Tower attraction,<br />
dogs are not allowed on the rides.<br />

• Loose, pointed or bulky objects or<br />
medical aids may not be taken onto a<br />
ride, as they could be thrown out during<br />
the ride and potentially endanger or<br />
injure other guests. These objects<br />
must be deposited in the designated<br />
storage space <strong>for</strong> the duration of the<br />
ride or must be stowed safely while<br />
riding. If an evacuation is necessary, your<br />
medically necessary aids, such as cane<br />
<strong>for</strong> blind, will be brought to you. Bringing<br />
loose objects and aids is only possible at<br />
selected attractions.<br />
• Getting in and out of a ride must be<br />
done independently. If necessary, <strong>with</strong><br />
the help of an accompanying carer<br />
who is at least 16 years old and who<br />
is able to walk, see and hear <strong>with</strong>out<br />
restrictions.<br />
• It must be possible to communicate <strong>with</strong><br />
our employees and follow their instructions.<br />
The ability to hear and/or see signs<br />
and/or loudspeaker announcements is<br />
also required. If necessary, <strong>with</strong> the help<br />
of an accompanying person of at least 16<br />
years of age who is fully able to walk, see<br />
and hear.<br />

• For disabled individuals who may use an<br />
attraction, evacuation may take longer,<br />
as it may be done by specially trained<br />
staff.<br />

<strong>visual</strong> <strong>impairments</strong><br />
On some of our attractions:<br />
• sudden changes in direction, changes in<br />
speed or changes in position can occur.<br />
• Steps, thresholds, automatically opening/closing<br />
doors and crash edges are<br />
present.<br />
• Speed and maneuvers can be controlled<br />
by the passenger.<br />
In the event of evacuation, it may be<br />
necessary to be able to negotiate narrow<br />
walkways, narrow and steep stairs, narrow<br />
passages or changing to lifting plat<strong>for</strong>ms,<br />
if necessary quickly. In addition, it may be<br />
necessary to follow guiding lines.<br />
