slender pillars, the brass face engraved<br />

chapter ring, scroll spandrels and date<br />
aperture, the trunk with mahogany<br />
cross banding to the pendulum door<br />
and raised on ogee bracket feet<br />

NOTE<br />
Made by Robert Parkinson who moved<br />
to Lancaster in 1732 after he was<br />
freed from his apprenticeship. Noted<br />
for his fine eight day movement clocks,<br />
Robert was succeeded by his son<br />
William who continued the business<br />
until his death in 1800.<br />
