Positive Ageing Month - October 2022

Welcome to Positive Ageing Month As Head of Health Improvement, Equality and Involvement for the Western Health & Social Care Trust, I am delighted once again to support the annual Positive Ageing Campaign. This is a great example of how working together can achieve great results. I would like to thank all our partners for providing a wide range of activities and events for older people. Positive Ageing month puts a focus on the 5 steps to wellbeing - Be Active, Connect, Take Notice, Give and Keep Learning. This year there are many opportunities to participate in programmes that will allow you to achieve all these steps. The varied programme offers dancing, swimming, poetry and opportunities to meet new or old friends, reading the newspapers over tea. What is not to like? Step Challenge - <strong>Positive</strong> <strong>Ageing</strong> <strong>Month</strong><br />

Walking is the perfect form of exercise to help achieve this and you are<br />

encouraged you to take part in a ‘Step Challenge’ this month with a chance of<br />

winning a prize. Contact health.improvement@westerntrust.hscni.net to get a<br />

copy of the challenge.<br />

This Libraries NI partnership event with WHSCT’S Creggan Day Care Centre<br />
