The <strong>Society</strong>’s major functions are our showpiece<br />
events, open to Liverymen, Yeomen and their guests.<br />
Hosted by the Master and Wardens, official guests may include visiting Masters, Presidents of Royal<br />
Societies, senior figures in the world of medicine, pharmacy, the sciences, entertainment, Armed<br />
Forces, finance, politics, and beyond.<br />
These are the ideal opportunity to show friends and family what the Livery is all about – whilst<br />
recognising our academic and charitable purpose. With members and guests dressed in their finest,<br />
participating in ancient – and enjoyable – ceremonies, enjoying the finest wines and foods, and with<br />
excellent entertainment, what is a once-in-a-lifetime event for some can be enjoyed frequently by<br />
Apothecaries.<br />

This event is held on the day that the new Master is elected and begins with a service at St Andrew-bythe-Wardrobe,<br />
which will be conducted by the new Master’s Chaplain. During the service, the Clerk<br />
will read out the names of members known to have died during the past year. The service will be<br />
followed by drinks in the Courtyard, weather permitting, and a four-course dinner in the Great Hall.<br />
