Zane, The Boy From Barbados
Zane Maloney, the boy from
Barbados, has made an indelible
mark on international motor
racing. Dubbed as “one of the
hottest young driver talents in the
motorsport scene “ -Zane is a third
generation motor racer. He started
racing at a tender age with The
Barbados Karting Association
(BKA) at Bushy Park Racing circuit.
He competed with a measure of
success in the Karting European
Championship, the World
Championships, the German
Championship and The WSK
Champions Cup. In 2018 at the
World Karting Association event at
Daytona, Florida On day one Zane
won the pre-final, and came third
in the final. The next day he
qualified on pole, won the pre-final
and the final. In 2019, his first year
in Formula 4, Zane won both the
overall and rookie championships,
winning ten out of 30 races and
securing 15 podium places.
At Spa he bounced back from a
horrific crash in the sprint race to
win the featured race the next day.
But, he did not stop there, his thirdconsecutive
Feature Race win at
Monza moved him up to second in
the 2022 Formula 3 Drivers’
Championship.
