The full comment is on the ParishCouncil website but the main points are:access route to local amenities.Impact on the character and appearanceof the area.The Parish Council is very concerned aboutthe significant loss of mature trees with ahigh amenity value and the negativeimpact this will have on the appearance ofEverton Road, especially the loss of maturetrees to provide a temporary constructionaccess.Creating healthy and safe communitiesthrough good design.The Parish Council has some concernsabout the overall design of the site. Thereis a large grouping of affordable housing atthe Silver Street end of the site whichappears as a segregated “enclave“. Thereis also a carpark which is tucked awaybehind buildings with a lack of oversightand informal supervision.There are concerns about the density ofbuild on the site causing an urban feel tothe area. The Parish Council is concernedabout the lack of cycling and walkingroutes in the plan which gives thedevelopment a sense of isolation from thevillage.The Parish Council has serious concernsthat pedestrians could create an unofficialaccess on to Silver Street as the quickestImpact on highway safety.The Parish Council and residents have verystrong concerns about highway safety.Everton Road access - the Parish Councilconsiders the location of this junction to bepoorly placed with limited visibility.The pavement on Everton Road which is amain route to the primary school is verynarrow in places and does not allow a safewalking route to school. Additional trafficwill make this even more hazardous.There is concern about construction trafficbeing routed in and out of the site via theA337 especially if this developmentoverlaps with SS8, SS7, SS10 and SS5 inMilford, Brockhills (Ashley) & Pennington.Impact on flood risk on, or near the site.The Parish Council is concerned thatseveral areas in close proximity to this siteare already prone to flooding.
