Light the WayGiving DayTSA’s first Light the Way Giving Day Appeal launched in conjunction with TSC GlobalAwareness Day in May 2022 was a smashing success. We are thrilled our TSC Communitygot behind this initiative and helped inspire so many donations. The impact of thistremendous support is that TSA has the funds needed to keep our much-needed nurseand support programs and services running. Lucia‘We feel incredibly fortunate to haveconnected with the team at TSAthrough the Light the Way Giving Day.Our daughter Lucia is 2 years old andhas been diagnosed with both TSC andPolycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).Our little Lucia’s diagnosis came asan enormous shock to our family. Butwe’re trying to take it one day at a timeand just focus on all the positives - likethe access we have to expert treatmentat Sydney Children’s Hospital throughthe TSC Clinic and the information andsupport from TSA.We wanted to get involved in theLight the Way Giving Day appeal tohelp shine a light on TSC. Helping toraise awareness of this unknown raredisease helped us feel like we weredoing something to assist othersfacing similar challenges. We weretotally blown away by the generosityof our family and friends who donatedover $11,000.
