I encourage all of you beautiful
ladies out there to be confident, to
dream big and to work hard like the
queens you are to boss it up!
I’m currently sitting in Istanbul after a long day
of shooting with our two beautiful cover models.
The team have been working extremely hard
to produce the new edition of Asiana Wedding!
Turkey has always been one of my favourite
holiday destinations. The picturesque views, historical mosques,
mesmerising palaces and luxury resorts make it an extraordinary
place to visit, and to do a photoshoot! Between the hustle and
bustle of styling bridal lenghas, directing photography and
searching for breathtaking locations to produce the bridal bible
you’re holding, I thought I’d take some time out to write this
letter to you; call this your postcard from Asiana.
We chose Istanbul as the location for our Autumn/Winter
edition; a destination where we could tell a unique story for the
fashion campaigns we have created for the biggest brands in
the Asian bridal industry - (wait until you see the extraordinary
250-year-old hammam in which we shot Khushboo’s By Chand’s
alluring veiled goddess campaign, it’s one of my favourites!)
I’d like to also congratulate Madhu’s for the opening of their
first international restaurant in Istanbul at The Swissôtel, The
Bosphorus and a big thank you for inviting Asiana out there and
hosting our photoshoot trip. I wish them luck on their remarkable
new business venture! The food and restaurant are exquisite and
you can find out more on page 182.
Our cover campaign is extremely special to me, as it’s been so
long since traditional red was brought back in trend. The last
time Asiana featured this timeless shade was pre-pandemic in
2018 when Bipasha Basu graced our cover and I’m pleased to say
that true to tradition, red is trending again.
This edition also highlights our exquisite catwalk report from
The Asiana Bridal show at Grosvenor House 2022, showcasing
a variety of luxury collections from all the top fashion brands for
planning your big day. I’m also excited to announce our upcoming
Elite Asiana Bridal Show 2023 will be taking place at The Savoy
London on the 5th of February. Along with our partners Madhu’s
and Sunrise Radio, I look forward to welcoming all you brides-tobe
as you embark on your wedding journey.
Until then, if you’re currently in the midst of planning I
hope this issue helps you with the preparation for your special
day - get inspired by grand wedding venues, caterers, flowers,
entertainment and so much more. We’ve also featured quite a
variety of exotic honeymoon destinations so be sure to check out
our hand-picked lush destinations.
I think as much as we can get carried away with wedding
planning, which is a tough procedure, the hardest part is
transitioning into an actual marriage. We don’t speak about this
enough in the South Asian community. However, if you turn
to page 204 I’d encourage you to read our trending article on
relationships - including marital advice given by a world-class
doctor and eminent psychologist.
Finally… I can’t forget to mention our brilliant girl power
influencer shoot featuring some of the UK’s top South Asian
influential women of date. If you visit page 98 you can see the
luxurious makeover and photo shoot spread Asiana has created
along with a feature on all of these hard working and successful
women who run their own businesses. I am a huge advocate of
women’s empowerment - so I encourage all of you beautiful ladies
out there to be confident, to dream big and to work hard like the
queens you are to boss it up!
