drive and enjoy
stunning views,
delicious wines, and
exciting events.
Located in Historic Folsom, Willamette
Wineworks is a wine-blending and food
experience featuring wines from Oregon’s
Willamette Valley Vineyards. You can
select varietals to taste, then blend what
your taste buds desire, and purchase a
glass or growler of your own creation.
And don’t worry if you’re not the DIYtype,
as the experts in the tasting room
will happily pour flights for you to try.
In summertime, don’t miss their Natoma
Wine and Sunsets where you can listen to
live music and sip vino while the sun sets.

A stunning view and sippable wine await
at Helwig Winery, which is just up the
hill in Plymouth. Their offerings include a
rustic tasting room; gourmet kitchen with
burgers, sandwiches, and salads; concerts;
and a memorable venue for weddings and
private events. Be sure to visit them for
Helwig@Dusk once a month May through
September for live music, food, and wine,
but buy tickets early as these fun evenings

Originally built in 1934 as a beet sugar
refinery, the historic Old Sugar Mill
now plays hosts to 14 wineries, which
produce varietals from all over Northern
California. Not only is it a one-stop-shop
for a day of wine tasting, but it also
makes a stunning wedding venue. There
are multiple ceremony and reception
spots to choose from, in addition to an
in-house coordinator and myriad of other
wedding necessities. For those already
lucky in love, be on the lookout for holiday
celebrations where specialty vendors
and food trucks are brought in to be
paired for a perfect day of wine tasting.

Just over 20 miles from Folsom lies Wise
Villa Winery in Lincoln. This award-
winning winery is noted not only for its
wine but also its picturesque bistro and
fun events throughout the year. Their
Tuscan-style restaurant serves lunch and
dinner, and their events include weekly
Friday Night Live Music and Prime Rib
Thursdays, among annual events like the “I
Love Lucy” Grape Stomp and a Hawaiian
Luau. Bonus: They are continuously
invested in environmental sustainability,
from carbon retention to water filtration

Tucked away in the rolling hills of
Placerville is David Girard Vineyards
where wines and weddings meet. It has
quite the view for either, and the staff
is always welcoming. For wine tasting,
they’re open later on Fridays, when they
also offer pizza, and often have live shows
that pair perfectly with wine tasting on
