Konstantin Bax

Konstantin’s distinctive and whimsical style is a symbiosis

of various art movements throughout history. He scoops

his inspiration from the vast ocean of impressions of the

information age and creates something completely new

out of that.

The borders between figuration and abstraction, dream

and reality are broken down in his multi-layered artwork.

Spiritual insight clashes with graffiti, punk-attitude and

neon-advertising.

His work is dominated by the expression of change, the

metamorphosis of 3-dimensional structures into their

next state of existence. He wants to show us the nonstatic

nature of our reality. The world within the stream

of time.

“My paintings are the dynamic expression of a subtle and

intangible world, from which all the material phenomena

of ours originate”, says the artist himself about his

artwork. The great visionary Prof. Ernst Fuchs once just

called them “Windows to Infinity”.

VITA

Bax was born in Wiesbaden/Germany in 1979. He

successfully completed his studies of interior architecture

in 2006 and lives happily as an freelance artist in

Hamburg since that.

Born into a family of artists, he mostly acquired his

painting skills self-taught and in his time as the assistant

to Ernst Fuchs. His paintings were already exhibited in

Los Angeles, Denver, Hamburg, Chiang Mai and Vienna.

The desired originals of Konstantin Bax can be found in

private collections worldwide.

der Kunstgeschichte. Der Künstler schöpft seine

Inspiration aus dem unendlichen Meer an Eindrücken

des Informationszeitalters und erschafft daraus etwas

gänzlich Neues.

In seiner vielschichtigen Malerei verwischen die Grenzen

von Figuration und Abstraktion, Traum und Realität.

Spirituelle Einsicht trifft auf Graffiti, Punk-Attitüde und

Neon Reklame.

Im Werk des Künstlers dominiert der Ausdruck des

Wandels, der Übergang von 3-dimensionalen Strukturen

in ihren nächsten Zustand. So versucht er uns die „nichtstatische“

Natur unserer Umwelt deutlich zu machen.

„Meine Bilder sind der dynamische Ausdruck einer

feinstofflichen Welt, aus der alle Phänomene der

greifbaren Welt resultieren“, sagt der Künstler selbst

über seine Bilder. Der Wiener Phantast Prof. Ernst Fuchs

nannte sie einst einfach „Fenster zur Unendlichkeit“.

BIO

Bax ist 1979 in Wiesbaden geboren. Er absolvierte 2006

erfolgreich sein Studium der Innenarchitektur und lebt

seitdem als freischaffender Künstler in Hamburg St. Pauli.

In eine Künstlerfamilie geboren, erwarb er das Handwerk

der Malerei größtenteils autodidaktisch und in seiner

Zeit als Assistent von Ernst Fuchs. Seine Bilder wurden

bereits u.a. in Los Angeles, Denver, Hamburg, Chiang

Mai und Wien ausgestellt.

Die begehrten Originale von Konstantin Bax befinden

sich in Privatsammlungen weltweit.

Production Process

The digital print, also known as giclée-print, is the

first choice nowadays to produce state of the art

reproductions in small quantities. This modern print

process grants first class art reproductions, where the

borders between the original and the copy become

blurred.

The reproduction process begins with scanning the

original painting on a very high-resolution scanner. With

this procedure, even the tiniest details are captured true

to the original.

After that, the file is processed and, under surveillance

of the artist, several tryout copies are generated until

the color rendering accords 100% to the original. The

finished master file is now used to produce the limited

editions.

HANDMADE

First, the print is produced on a very high-quality artist

grade canvas and then becomes post-edited by the

hands of the artist. What follows are two layers of

Lascaux UV varnish, to protect and seal the print, before

the canvas is stretched onto wooden stretcher bars.

With this process, the reproduction attains the qualities

and the haptic perception of the original painting. The

finished product complies with the highest quality

standards for the artist as well as the collector.

All prints are manufactured on demand, with love and

dedication, directly in the artist‘s studio in Hamburg.

Der Digitaldruck, auch Giclée-Druck genannt,

ist heutzutage die erste Wahl um hochwertige

Kunstreproduktionen in kleinen Auflagen herzustellen.

Dieses neuartige Druckverfahren garantiert erstklassige

Reproduktionen, welche die Grenzen zwischen Original

und Kunstdruck verschwimmen lassen.

Die Reproduktion beginnt mit dem Einscannen des

Originals an einem extrem hochauflösenden Scanner.

Bei diesem Prozess wird auch das kleinste Detail des

Bildes originalgetreu festgehalten.

Danach wird die Datei bearbeitet und es werden, unter

Überwachung des Künstlers, Probedrucke erstellt bis

die Farbwiedergabe exakt dem Original entspricht. Die

fertige Master-Datei dient dann der Herstellung der

limitierten Editionen.

MANUFAKTUR

Der Ausdruck erfolgt auf einer hochwertigen

Künstlerleinwand und wird direkt danach vom Künstler

persönlich von Hand nachbearbeitet. Als nächstes wird

der Druck zweifach mit Lascaux UV-Lack gefirnisst und

versiegelt bevor er auf einen Keilrahmen aufgezogen

wird.

Diese Methode verleiht der Reproduktion die Qualität

und das haptische Empfinden des Originals. Das fertige

Produkt erfüllt die höchsten Ansprüche für den Künstler

und den Sammler.

Alle Drucke werden auf Bestellung, mit viel Liebe und

Hingabe, direkt vom Künstler in seinem Hamburger

Atelier hergestellt.
