United Women in Faith gather once again in November via Zoom. Anyone who
would like a chance to “visit” with old or new friends is welcome to join. We
“gather” at 10:00 on Thursday mornings. If you would like to join us, please email

On November 17 we will have a Thanksgiving program.
Our December gathering will be in person. December 15 we will gather in the
church dining room at 10:00 for coffee and treats to celebrate Christmas.

Mission u, January, 2023: Who Can We Be Together?
Mission u is an opportunity to delve into a spiritual growth study sponsored by
United Women in Faith Northern Illinois Conference. It will have a new format
this January: this virtual event will begin on Sunday, Jan. 8. Two-hour classes
will meet once a week and conclude on Sunday, Jan. 29. Registration is $35 ($25
if registered by Dec. 15) and is due Jan. 4. The easiest way to register is via:

Who Can We Be Together? A Biblical Exploration
of Luke 13 explores “a chapter full of rich imagery,
compelling parables, and convicting directives
from Jesus the teacher, spiritual leader, and
organizer. Luke 13 depicts a Jesus who often
is frustrated, concerned--even snarky. He has
a warranted and righteous rage aimed at the
institutions of the day. For followers of Christ
2,000 years later, it’s important for us to sit with
the range of emotions we have in response to
these words.”
Voices From the Field is a podcast which provides an
opportunity to learn about the national and international
initiatives of United Women in Faith. The October 25th podcast
was a Special Ukraine Update: Reporting from Inside Ukraine
and Its Neighbors, featuring speakers from the Women’s
Peace Dialogue Platform. What began as an effort by United
Methodist Women in 2015 to bring Ukrainian and Russian
women together to talk peace, has evolved into a
permanent regional forum called the Women’s Peace
Dialogue Platform. The members spoke about the
situation, support, and actions of this unique
forum at our Voices on Ukraine event in March,
2022. These courageous women came together
again sharing how Mission Giving helps the
people of Ukraine persevere under continuous
bombardment and shelling.
The podcast offered firsthand information about
what is happening on the ground, how the Women’s
Peace Dialogue Platform members are helping in a real war
situation, and why women’s inclusion in all peace processes
is more critical than ever. Podcasts are posted to the United
