wrap, and turkey bacon grilled cheese. There is a<br />
special each day, with dishes such as pot pie, chicken<br />
enchiladas, and meatball subs. As a bit of lagniappe,<br />
free dessert is served with meals each Thursday.<br />
Shelby says a lot of her business consists of treat<br />
boxes for offices and drug reps. “The Pearl schools<br />
have been wonderful supporters. The PTSO’s buy from<br />
us a lot during the holidays.” But the bulk of their<br />
business comes from custom cake and cookie orders.<br />
Shelby says she is looking forward to Joe joining her<br />
fulltime in the business. “He is a teacher with Pearl<br />
Schools, teaching STEM and robotics at Pearl Middle<br />
School, and he is the STEM coach for Pearl High<br />
School. His contract ends this year, so he’ll start<br />
working with me this summer.”<br />
The Blue Feather is open from 7am to 6pm, Tuesday<br />
through Friday, and 7am to 3pm on Saturday. To see<br />
