Fees <strong>and</strong> charges<br />
Payment of fees<br />
All fees are due <strong>and</strong> payable at the time<br />
of enrolment. Fees can be paid by cash,<br />
cheque (payable to Metropolitan South<br />
Institute of TAFE), EFTPOS, Money Order<br />
or Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard <strong>and</strong><br />
American Express). If you are in receipt<br />
of a Centrelink payment you may be able<br />
to have your fees deducted automatically<br />
from your payment. Application can be<br />
made at a customer service centre.<br />
Enrolment <strong>and</strong> Payment<br />

To enrol by telephone (credit card<br />
payments only) contact the <strong>MSIT</strong> customer<br />
service centre between 8.30am to 5.00pm<br />
Monday to Thursday <strong>and</strong> 8.30am to<br />
3.30pm on Friday. If applying for reduced<br />
fees please have your concession card<br />
details available at the time of enrolment.<br />
Online<br />
Some <strong>programs</strong> will be available for online<br />
enrolment <strong>and</strong> payments. Speak to a<br />
customer service centre officer regarding<br />
the availability of these services for the<br />
program you wish to enrol in.<br />
In person<br />
Visit us at one of our customer service<br />
centres, conveniently located at Alex<strong>and</strong>ra<br />
Hills campus, Loganlea campus, Mt<br />
Gravatt campus <strong>and</strong> Yeronga campus<br />
(Tuesday, Wednesday <strong>and</strong> Thursday only).<br />
If you wish to claim a fee exemption<br />
your concession card details <strong>and</strong>/or birth<br />
certificate are also required at the time of<br />
enrolment.<br />

Financial assistance<br />
Financial assistance may be available in<br />
the form of Austudy, Abstudy, Newstart,<br />
Jobstart <strong>and</strong> Youth Allowance. Further<br />
information is available from Centrelink on<br />

If you are having difficulty meeting the full<br />
cost of the program at enrolment, it may be<br />
possible to negotiate a payment plan. Prior<br />
to enrolment, a Payment Plan Application<br />
form available from the Customer Service<br />
Centre must be completed. As you are<br />
entering into a credit agreement, a credit<br />
check will be performed on your credit<br />
history <strong>and</strong> if you are under 18 years of<br />
age this must be completed by a parent<br />
or guardian. A minimum of $75 (or 20%<br />
per cent) of the total cost of enrolment,<br />
whichever is the greater, is payable at the<br />
time of enrolment.
