NAILS
Cut the nails a little at the time until the nail is level
with the underside of the paw’s pad. (see diagram) If
the dog has extremely long nails it is advisable to cut
them weekly, this way the blood vessels will retreat
back into the nail and it will allow the nail to be cut to
the desired length- See diagram. Tip: Always keep a
pot of styptic powder (stop bleed powder) close by
when trimming nails.
