Dataputer 3000VA & 3000VS Data<br />
Collectors<br />
The Dataputer 3000 features include an<br />
alpha-numeric keyboard and four gauge<br />
inputs, (one dedicated to barcode<br />
reading) for improved accuracy for both<br />
attribute and variable <strong>data</strong> input.<br />
Available in 2 versions:<br />
• The Dataputer 3000VA: A Variable<br />
and an Attribute instrument,<br />
capable of accepting digital and<br />
analogue gauge inputs - increasing<br />
the diversity of the measurement<br />
devices that can be used.<br />
• The Dataputer 3000VS: A Variable<br />
Short Run Collector, designed to<br />
record variable information for<br />
customers who manufacture in<br />
small batch volumes.<br />
Designed into the Dataputer range of<br />
collectors is an easy to use <strong>data</strong><br />
collection method. Data can be added<br />
using the user-friendly keyboard or<br />
alternatively through the gauge ports<br />
using your electronic measuring<br />
devices.<br />
All Dataputer collectors have automatic<br />
warnings designed specifically to inform<br />
the operator when the process is about<br />
to go out of control. Corrective action<br />
taken at this point will help to reduce<br />
costly rework and scrap, increasing your<br />
product quality and profits.<br />

On the shop floor, where there is<br />
often oil and grease from<br />
machinery or airborne<br />
particulates from the production<br />
process, a computer is not<br />
suitable.<br />

Real time process information can be seen on the shop floor at the <strong>data</strong> input stage allowing immediate corrective<br />
action to be carried out, by the operator. The easy to read graphic display can be set to view a wide range of charts<br />
which include; Xbar, Range, Histograms, Pareto Charts and other Attribute information. The operator is now able to<br />
make informed decisions improving manufacturing efficiency and quality with no additional work.<br />
Collectors can be used to record <strong>data</strong> at key areas of production and can be:<br />
• linked up to the Datastat SPC Software directly or through a network, or<br />
• the process charts can be viewed on the <strong>data</strong> collector itself.<br />
Thus allowing you to view the whole production cycle in real time at the touch of a button.<br />
The collectors can be programmed using the keyboard, or can be set up from <strong>data</strong> that has been created on the<br />
computer using Datastat SPC Software, giving total flexibility.<br />

The Dataputer 3000VGA collection station is a recently<br />
launched <strong>data</strong> collector from Dataputer. With the wear and<br />
dirt resistant keypad and integrated multiplexer board, the<br />
Dataputer 3000 VGA collection station is the ideal for shop<br />
floor unit. On screen and VGA export charting capability.<br />
The Dataputer 1000 collector range is available either as an<br />
Attributes or Variables portable <strong>data</strong> collector. The<br />
Dataputer 1000A is an ideal instrument for recording visual<br />
defects on products over time, whereas the Dataputer<br />
1000V records all variable <strong>data</strong> information over time,<br />
including width, length, height, torque strength, etc.<br />
Data-XL is a simple to use software package which allows<br />
the input of real-time <strong>data</strong> collected from a variety of<br />
devices, including thickness gauges, balances, scales,<br />
barcode scanners, laboratory instruments, directly into<br />
Microsoft ® Excel. Data-XL can either be used with serial<br />
gauges as a stand alone product, or alternatively, serial,<br />
analogue and/or Mitutoyo® type gauges can be linked to a<br />
PC using a Dataputer Multiplexer.<br />
Dataputer’s Datastat computer spc software program<br />
provides the means to display the production process and<br />
highlights when the process violates control limits. Datastat<br />
can predict future violations and therefore improve the<br />
production process. Datastat has a comprehensive range of<br />
<strong>data</strong> entry options, charting capabilities, reporting functions<br />
and other useful features to help the production engineer<br />
minimise waste and ensure product quality.<br />
Using advanced programming techniques, Dataputer’s<br />
Datastat CSV (Client Server Version) is a powerful SPC<br />
software program, which gives professional results in an<br />
easy-to-use package. Using Client/Server technology with<br />
open <strong>data</strong>base connectivity (ODBC), Datastat CSV can be<br />
linked to existing <strong>data</strong> and also allows multiple Users to<br />
share a common <strong>data</strong>base. Datastat CSV is available in two<br />
versions, Administrator and Shopfloor.<br />
