How do I become a member <strong>of</strong> the Sports Centre?<br />
• Call to the Sports Centre Reception with your student/staff I.D. card and<br />
complete a short membership application form. Renewals are not required<br />
to complete an application form.<br />
• The Sports Centre will process the application as you wait; this will take no<br />
more than 5-10 minutes. Yearly membership or <strong>Membership</strong> Packages are<br />
available.<br />
• Your membership information will be stored on your staff/student card.<br />
Other members will receive a sports centre card.<br />
• You must complete a Fitness Suite induction before you use the gym, the<br />
induction is free for those who sign up for a <strong>Membership</strong> Package.<br />
• Once you have signed up and have been inducted the Magee Staff will<br />
design you your own individual exercise programme to get you going.<br />

Facilities Overview<br />
A multi-purpose Sports Hall which will cater for a host<br />
<strong>of</strong> activities, from indoor soccer, basketball, volleyball,<br />
badminton, netball, trampolining, gymnastics, archery,<br />
and exercise and fitness classes. We also provide<br />
clean and spacious changing and showering facilities,<br />
with safety deposit lockers.<br />
Fitness Suite The fitness suite contains the all the latest cardiovascular<br />
and resistance equipment to suit all needs,<br />
including treadmills, Spin bikes, cross trainers, rowing<br />
machines and strength & conditioning machines.<br />

In our treatment room we can <strong>of</strong>fer customers seated<br />
Acupressure Massage and Sports Massage at a very<br />
competitive price. So if you’re felling stressed or<br />
suffering form muscle fatigue give Gavin a call at the<br />
Sports Centre.<br />
A fantastic state-<strong>of</strong>-the-art outdoor floodlit Soccer and<br />
Hockey pitch. Which can be booked as an 11-a-side<br />
full pitch or 7-a-side half pitch.<br />
Soccer, Rugby, Hurling and Gaelic are just some <strong>of</strong> the<br />
sport which are played on the prunity pitch.<br />
The Duncreggan Studio is ideally situated in the heart<br />
<strong>of</strong> the student village and outdoor playing fields.<br />
Changing facilities, toilets, car parking, storage and<br />
vending provision is also available on site. Exercise and<br />
Fitness courses such as Boxer-circuits, Yoga, Pilates,<br />
Belly dancing, Abs attack, Cheerleading, Bum & tums<br />
and Table tennis are held in the studio each semester.<br />
