The villa is situated in Foça, a location where summerscan be disturbingly hot, making it crucial to create a design that prioritizescooling and natural ventilation. The southern facade of the villa faces a viewof fields, and the design takes full advantage of this view by situating the livingareas and kitchen on an elevated platform on the southern side.This elevation not only allows for panoramic views but also acts as a soundbarrier from the road on the front facade, ensuring that the bedroomsremain peaceful and restful.The segregation of the living and sleeping areas into northern and southernzones is another key aspect of the design. The northern-facing bedroomsavoid direct sunlight, which helps them stay cooler, a critical aspect of thedesign in Foça's hot climate. The circulation path between the front facadeand the back of the building provides a natural ventilation pathway thathelps regulate the temperature throughout the villa. The entrance andoutdoor living area are perpendicular to the circulation corridor, creatingan optimal flow of movement within the villa. The volume of the house isinstrumentally carved to maximize natural daylight and create differentoutdoor living areas that can be used at different times of the day, dependingon the position of the sun and the wind path.
