PLAYER PROFILES...<br />
HYDE UNITED<br />
Athletic and had loan spells with<br />
Ashton and Radcliffe. Before joining<br />
Radcliffe during the 2020/21 season he<br />
made 7 appearances for them, he then<br />
moved onto Halifax in 2021. He come<br />
on loan to us from Halifax during the<br />
‘21/22 season after regular left back,<br />
Kyle Brownhill, suffered a long-term<br />
knee injury during that season. Having<br />
impressed during his loan spell and<br />
after being released by Halifax, Javid<br />
joins for the ‘22/23 season.<br />
CALLUM SPOONER<br />
Callum was part of the Bolton<br />
Wanderers Youth setup and had a<br />
loan spell to neighbours, <strong>Stalybridge</strong><br />
<strong>Celtic</strong>, whilst at Bolton. Before signing<br />
for Atherton Collieries in July 2017. He<br />
joined the Tigers from Bamber Bridge<br />
towards the end of the 21/22 season.<br />
Is one of the reasons we avoided<br />
relegation that season.<br />
AARON FLEMMING<br />
Aaron, a defender, also signed from<br />
Abbey Hey. Aaron was courted by<br />
several clubs in the Northern Premier<br />
Division for this coming season but has<br />
chosen to sign on at the project solar<br />
stadium.<br />
Midfielders<br />
LIAM TONGUE<br />
Liam is a crowd favourite<br />
and has scored some<br />
huge goals for us and<br />
was sorely missed<br />
when he suffered<br />
an injury late into<br />
the ‘21/22 season.<br />
He started his career<br />
at Stockport Georgians,<br />
before joining Cheadle Town where<br />
he won the Players Player of the year<br />
in 2016. He had spells with Mossley,<br />
Marine and our local rivals <strong>Stalybridge</strong><br />
<strong>Celtic</strong>.<br />
MATTHEW FEARNLEY<br />
Matt links back up with<br />
Nick and Gavin having<br />
been under them at<br />
Bolton Wanderers,<br />
where Nick brought<br />
him in from the<br />
Manchester United<br />
Youth setup. Having spent<br />
several years playing in the USA, Matt<br />
now returns to the UK and joins the<br />
Tigers.<br />
ALEX PERRY<br />
Alex came through Bolton’s Academy<br />
and had a month’s loan spell at<br />
Sutton Coldfield during the 2017/18<br />
season. He signed for Wigan Athletic<br />
for the 2018/19 season, after his<br />
contract expired at Bolton. He made 21<br />
appearances for Wigan before being<br />
released and signing for EFL League<br />
Two side Scunthorpe United where he<br />
made 5 appearances.<br />
TAWAB DJANKPATA<br />
Tawab is another of our U21s that have<br />
impressed the management team<br />
enough to get a call up to the first team<br />
this season.<br />
