The <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Power</strong> Review is published under the auspices of the<br />
Director of Defence <strong>Studies</strong> (RAF) and has the sponsorship of the Assistant Chief<br />
of the <strong>Air</strong> Staff. It is intended to provide a <strong>for</strong>um <strong>for</strong> the publication of high quality<br />
and academically credible articles on air and space power. The aim being to educate and<br />
stimulate debate within both the military and academic communities and to promote<br />
the evolution of air and space power thinking within the broader military environment.<br />
This publication is also intended to support the British armed <strong>for</strong>ces in general and the<br />
<strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> in particular with respect to the development and application of air<br />
power.<br />
Contributions from both Service and civilian authors are sought which will contribute to<br />
existing knowledge and understanding of the subject. Any topic will be considered by<br />
the <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Power</strong> Review Management Board and a payment of £200 will be made <strong>for</strong> each<br />
article published.<br />
Articles should be original and preferably not previously published, although those of<br />
sufficient merit will not be precluded. Between 2,000 and 10,000 words in length, articles<br />
should list bibliographical references as end notes, and state a word count. Lengthy<br />
articles may be published in instalments. Contributions from serving military personnel<br />
should be in accordance with 2008DIN03-020.<br />
Material should be submitted in Microsoft word, on CD or by e-mail and should<br />
be accompanied, or followed, by numbered page copy plus any photographs and<br />
illustrations. Digital pictures should be saved as TIFFs or JPEGs @ 300dpi.<br />
Final design <strong>for</strong>mat <strong>for</strong> article presentation on the printed page will be at the discretion<br />
of the editor.<br />
