This past year, 2022, marked a very special
anniversary for World Traveler as we
celebrated 20 years of our multi-awardwinning
publications, and we are as passionate
about travel as ever.
When we began, our print issues were spread
far and wide. It was not long until we launched
our website: www.worldtraveler.travel, which
has recently merged both American World
Traveler and Canadian World Traveller. In the
following years we introduced new media:
eMagazines, eNewsletters and World Traveler
Social Media pages. Today we find ourselves
with a vast reader base and electronic presence
which has been growing exponentially in the
past three years.
In this issue, we start our tours of discovery in
the Far East by visiting the incomparable Tokyo
to find it has many faces including its
urban electric feel and out of the way
islands with plenty of natural settings.
Closeby, we visit the community of Izumi
to find great history, gastronomy and a
flock of some 10,000 beautiful cranes.
We then set sail through ‘The Land of two
Smiles’ to discover the best of Cambodia and
Vietnam on a luxury cruise with CroisiEurope on
the mighty Mekong River. Lastly, we head to
Thailand to find this amazing destination is
geared up for some 16 distinctive yearly festivals.
To the other side of this vast continent, we head
to Dubai and see how this desert paradise is
going green and becoming ever so sustainable.
Due west, we head to Africa on not one but two
Nile cruises, including an Exodus Travels offering
that includes many worldwide destinations
with a Nile adventure and an Uganda Chimp
and Gorilla discovery trek.
Now in Europe, and in wonderful Malta, we
find that there is now yet another Michelin Star
restaurant, bringing the total on this tiny island
nation to six. Starting in Italy, we take yet another
cruise, this time on Viking’s ‘newest ship, the
Neptune and its ‘Icon Mediterranean’ sailing to
discover the best of this delightful region. With
the departure port in Spain, we extend our stay
and find exceptional service, beauty and charm
at the ‘Paradores de España’.
Next, we jet-off to North America and to far
western Canada where we discover the stunning
natural beauty of Waterton Lakes National
Park. Just across the border we head to
Montana to find there is something for every
taste and budget in this amazing and sparsely
populated northern state. To the south, we find,
‘Reno, Nevada Offers Much More Than Casino
Thrills’. In Tucson, Arizona we enjoy the
‘Saguaros, Sunshine and Sumptuous
Gastronomy’. In the coastal community of
Mendocino, California, we find there is a
laid back feeling and plenty of natural
surroundings in this region by the sea. To
the east coast, we find that Fort
Lauderdale is a “Year round destination’.
For our last sailing of this world-wide
tour, we embark the ’Harmony of the
Seas’ for a father and daughter cruise of laid
back fun and wonderful memories. In our
‘Tropical Tidbits; pages, we learn about all the
new happenings found in these proud
Caribbean nations.
To Latin America we go, first in Mexico, we find
the relatively unknown and lightly traveled
‘Other Side of Nayarit’. In Bogota, we taste the
wonderful and delicious flavours of Colombia.
To its southern neighbor, we find Intrepid Travel
Launches New Trek in Peru ‘The Great Inca
Road’. Lastly, and certainly not least, we head
to find a fascinating adventure in ‘Magnificent,
Magical, and Mystical Bolivia’!
