There’s plenty of fun to be
had at this free family day out.
The packed timetable of events
includes maypole dancing,
Victorian horse-drawn fire engine
displays, a tug of war, a royalthemed
fancy dress competition
and morris dancing. You can
also watch a daring display by
penny farthing riders and take
a ride in a cart drawn by heavy
horses, and that’s just a small
snippet of what’s on offer!

AFTERNOON TEA
Join Kent MS Therapy Centre
for afternoon tea to celebrate the
King’s Coronation. Ticket includes
a tea or coffee, a scone with
cream and jam, a slice of cake and
sandwiches! Contact them prior to
booking if you have special dietary
requirements. There will be a
raffle as well, and entertainment
from local musicians. Feel free to
dress up in red, white and blue!

This is a charity fundraising event
in support of The Friends of
Canterbury Cathedral, who will

DANCE @ THE LIT
This celebratory event is for all
ages and is all about community
and bringing generations together.
There will be a high tea fit for a
King along with music, tea dance

DECORATIVE LIVING
This popular annual fair is
known for its inspiring displays
by around 70 exhibitors selling
beautiful English and continental
decorative antiques and authentic
brocante from the markets of
Belgium and France. There will
also be stands selling artisan
fashion and jewellery or exquisite
handmade decorative items, a
pop-up café by Hattons of RTWs
for refreshments and light lunches,
and workshops on Embroidery
and paper-folding. All exhibitors
are carefully chosen and the layout
is such that whatever the weather,
visitors can enjoy browsing and
shopping under cover. Plenty
of parking. Sorry no dogs.

BIDDENDEN FLOWER
FESTIVAL
This year’s theme, A Moment
in Time, will commemorate
special occasions from weddings
to coronations and even one
that will celebrate Eurovision!
Brilliant floral displays created
by villagers, will add bursts of
colour throughout the 13th
century church. Other highlights
of the festival will include musical
interludes and a chance to climb
the church tower for magnificent
views over the Weald. If the
floral displays inspire you, you
can stop by the popular plant
stall to purchase a seedling to
take home. Homemade cakes
and other refreshments will also
be on sale throughout the day.
