<strong>Eawag</strong> scientists collaborate with water professionals on numerous projects and provide their technical<br />

input to a wide variety of national and international bodies. In addition, they serve on expert committees and<br />

take on consulting contracts. <strong>Eawag</strong> also operates various competence centres, which promote exchange<br />

between research disciplines and practice. <strong>Eawag</strong> disseminates the latest research findings in applicationoriented<br />

publications, thus ensuring knowledge transfer to practitioners.<br />

virus in wastewater at an early stage. <strong>Eawag</strong> research group leader Tim Julian (right) played a key role in<br />

this development, together with colleagues from various Swiss research institutions – including Prof. Niko<br />
