BIG THANKS TO CNR FOR THEIR
SUPPORT!
Not only did CNR International help during the Pensioners
Party, they also dropped a leaflet in all Garthdee houses... and
on top of that, donated £1000!
CNR International is a Canadian
oiling company with a base in
Aberdeen. They have helped us a
few times in the past, and they
were back again this year.
A team of 20 people offered their
help, which is really kind of them
and greatly appreciated.
We split them in two teams: one
would go around Garthdee to
drop our leaflet in every door,
while the second group would
help setting up and serving
during
during the Pensioners Party.
On top of that, they also donated
£1000 to the centre!
We are so grateful for their
support, both financially and
physically.
Thanks to them, our event ran
smoothly and everyone in
Garthdee got valuable
information about the centre.

Family Foundations is a charity
that offers therapeutic support to
children, young people and their
families. We work with children
aged 4 -16 and their families using
Play Therapy and a systemic
approach.
What could play therapy, or a
systemic approach help with?

we have supported were dealing

Difficulty in school, Recovering
from domestic violence,
Bereavement, Anxiety ,Bullying,
Trauma
Every family is different though,

HELP YOUR COMMUNITY,
VOLUNTEER AT INCHGARTH!
Without our volunteers, we wouldn't be able to offer so many
classes for free. Service at the café would be very slow, and we
wouldn't have a foodbank! Join our volunteering team now!
Adult Youth Club volunteers
Friday, 3.45-4.15pm
Help up give the kids a great club
in a safe environment! We do art,
play pool, video games, enjoy the
bouncy castle and more.
Dishwashers
Any day, 12pm onwards
We are looking for people you
are keen to give us 1 hour a week
to help us washing the dishes
during lunchtime.
Minibus Drivers
Monday, 1-3pm or 7-9pm
Some of our Pensioners club and
Phoenix Club members cannot
come to the centre on their own.
We need people with a D1
license keen to drive our minibus
so folks can enjoy their clubs!
Music tutors
Depends on your availability
Share your musical talents with
our members, help kids develop
new skills and passions and have
fun!
Any instrument welcome but
guitar.
BUS TRIP FOR THE GARTHDEE
PENSIONERS!
Thanks to funding from Age
Scotland we are delighted to be
offering a free bus trip to Brechin
Castle Garden Centre on Monday
28th August. The bus will leave
Inchgarth at 11am, returning at
4.30pm. This trip is for Garthdee
residents and centre users aged
55+ so please pass this on to any
friends, relatives or neighbours
who are eligible.
Brechin Castle Centre has a wide
range of plants and garden
equipment, a food hall, lots of
gifts and interiors, clothes and
accessories and a coffee shop.
There's also a country park with
crazy golf, foot golf, a fairy trail,
and a picnic area with a kiosk
selling hot and cold drinks and ice
cream. There is an admission fee
of £6 (£4.50 concession for age
65+) for the country park.
We're looking forward to a great
day out with sunshine guaranteed!

INCHGARTH FOODBANK:
DONATION NEEDED!
Since we opened our foodbank in 2020, we helped countless of
people. thanks to the support of the community. We still need
your support to give food weekly to people most in need.
The current situation is pretty
dire, with inflation, forcing
people to make choice between
paying rent, bills and food. Our
foodbank sees new people every
week, who have no choice to
seek support to feed their
families.
We are currently looking for
donations to make sure all our
foodbank users are leaving with
enough food for a week.
Our foodbank is open every
Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm.
If you can help, please find

LOW INCOME OR UNEMPLOYED? GRAB YOUR
FREE GYM MEMBERSHIP NOW! NOT A LOT LEFT!
Thanks to the Health Improvement Fund, we had the
opportunity to offer 70 gym membership to people with low
income or currently unemployed. We still have a some left!
More than half of the membership
are gone now, but we still have
some to give away.
This membership gives you free
access to our gym for the
remainder of the year. Our gym is
open every day from 10am to 9pm
(except on Saturday, 9-5pm).
These gym memberships are
reserved for people with low
income or unemployed.

6 NEW FREE CLASSES AT
INCHGARTH STARTING SOON!
We are happy to announce 6 new free classes, thanks to
funding from the NHS Grampian Charity. Sign up for these
classes now!
Thanks for this funding from the
NHS, we are delighted to offer
our members 6 new classes, all
free of charge! The starting date
for some of those classes are to
be decided but sign ups are open!
New chair Based exercise for
55+ and people with health
problems
This wonderful, fun, and sociable
class is not to be missed. Our
instructor Sharon ensures
everyone has a great time, made
to feel welcome, and gets
something out of this gentle
class.
Tuesday, 2.15pm-3pm
The fund will also allow us to
continue our Thursday morning
chair based class which currently
has a waiting list.
Thursday, 10am-11am.
Inclusive Zumba!
This class is simply fantastic and
suitable for adults of all ages.
People can do this class seated,
they can do it standing behind a
chair, or they can do it full
impact. It's really relaxed and
suitable for everyone and the
music is fabulous!
Thursday, 12.15pm-1pm.
Two amazing Zumba classes
for kids!
The two fantastic Zumba classes
help to keep your kids fit. They
are exciting, and are filled with
fun! Sharon is our tutor with
years of experience with children
who simply love these classes.

Tuesday, 4.30-5.30pm. P5-S3
Ballroom Beginners Classes
This class is suitable for
complete beginners, or for those
who have tried ballroom before.
You don't need to worry about a
partner for these classes, just
come yourself and be ready to
have loads of fun with Barney
