Dear Profashionals,<br />

We designed FASHION SQUARE – THE GUIDE (already in its 34 th edition!) as an<br />

international information and image brochure in which designers/manufacturers present<br />

important and current facts about themselves, especially to the retail trade and to<br />

journalists. Only selected addresses can book a listing – and to be listed here means that<br />

you are “in demand”! We send out 15,000 copies to leading European specialist retailers<br />

and journalists during the order season and trade fairs staged in Düsseldorf, Munich,<br />

Milan and Paris. The GUIDE is reproduced on the Internet 1:1, ready for download.<br />

FASHION SQUARE – THE GUIDE has long become the “who is who” for quality fashion. It<br />

showcases concentrated data, shows the retail trade the way to the international<br />

showrooms and is a popular working document online, as well as offline.<br />

The aim of the retail chain is to reach the consumers. One “click” on our homepage<br />

shows you how we contribute: The SHOPFINDER helps to locate wanted brands and their<br />

“offline” shops. Online, we have a “virtual market square”, the ONLINE-MALL plus a<br />

PRIZE DRAW as a PR and marketing tool. We invite you to join and are happy to be of<br />

service!<br />

DÜSSELDORF – CAPITAL OF FASHION: There is no point in asking what Düsseldorf would<br />

be today if it were not for the “SHOWROOMS DÜSSELDORF Community” (Kaiserswerther<br />

Strasse/MedienHafen/Rather Strasse). One thing is for sure – Düsseldorf, because of this<br />

very community, is amongst the top international fashion mets of our times. We are<br />

pleased to have initiated this trend in 1983. Ever since, we have been promoting the<br />

location with many diverse PR and marketing campaigns, with the aim of making the<br />

broad spectrum of what Düsseldorf has to offer more transparent for national and<br />

international buyers and to direct their path to Düsseldorf.<br />

Our concept has been accepted. Designers/manufacturers/agents (showroom operators)<br />

and their counterparts (buyers) – both international – have turned Düsseldorf into the<br />

centre for the whole gamut of quality international fashion. For many years, Düsseldorf<br />

was synonymous with womenswear only, with a more national orientation. On the other<br />

hand, the community of high-end brands showcases on around 70,000 m² of the roughly<br />

400 showrooms during the “fwD fashion week düsseldorf” some 1,000 designers/<br />

manufacturers from 32 countries, and their 3,000 collections: women, men, kids,<br />

accessories, shoes.<br />

The message: DÜSSELDORF – CAPITAL OF FASHION is highly visible, and rightly so!<br />

It is ultimately also acknowledged by the breadth of the offer of the remaining players<br />

at the showrooms (hall 29), at trade fairs (CPD Signatures, Supreme by<br />

munichfashion.company, Premium Order Düsseldorf) and at fashion centres (dfh,<br />

incl. the groups from Neuss: EUROMODA, IMOTEX, Haus Paris).<br />
