used to stand by when warming<br />
up jets. It suggested a more economical<br />
use <strong>of</strong> fire apparatus on the<br />
line, and with it an estimated<br />
$12,000 was expected to be saved<br />
per year.<br />
The Incentive Awards Committee<br />
is a board composed <strong>of</strong> military<br />
and civilian personnel. Their job<br />
is to evaluate suggestions and make<br />
awards to civilian employees based<br />
on the merits <strong>of</strong> their suggestions.<br />
This committee meets once a<br />
month, with the Base Executive<br />
Officer acting as chairman.<br />

The Stephenville-Harmon Community<br />
Relations Council was set<br />
up to foster good·will between<br />
townspeople and members <strong>of</strong> the<br />
base. It discusses and resolves<br />
problems that pertain to the growth<br />
<strong>of</strong> Stephenville-Harmon, and establishes<br />
certain rules <strong>of</strong> conduct that<br />
apply to civilian and military<br />
personnel ins<strong>of</strong>ar as community<br />
relations are concerned. The council<br />
determines means <strong>of</strong> improving<br />
community attitudes, and to implement<br />
planned activities. They coordinate<br />
the participation and cooperation<br />
demanded by special<br />
events, which include parades,<br />
open houses, c1ean--up-campaigns,<br />
