Hinds Community College serves about<br />
30,000 students annually in academic,<br />
career/technical, workforce, secondary and<br />
adult programs. The college offers two-year<br />
associate of arts degrees for students who<br />
complete academic coursework designed<br />
for transfer to senior colleges and universities<br />
and two-year associate of applied science<br />
degrees for students who complete technical<br />
or applied science programs.<br />
The college also offers certificates for<br />
one-year career and technical programs.<br />
Hinds has diverse educational programs<br />

• Academic programs guaranteed to transfer<br />
to any Mississippi four-year<br />
college or university.<br />
• More than 70 career-technical program<br />
options to prepare students for employment<br />
Continuing education programs that<br />
enhance the quality of life.<br />
• Short courses, seminars, workshops and<br />
industrial start-up training that meet<br />
educational, business, industrial and<br />
service needs.<br />
• High school general education and career<br />
services through a cooperative agreement<br />
with high schools within Hinds’s five counties.<br />
• Adult basic education instruction, training<br />
for high school equivalency exams and<br />
short-term skills training at college and<br />
community sites for adult learners without<br />
a high school diploma. MI-BEST, Mississippi<br />
Integrated Basic Education and Skills<br />
Training, allows students to gain job skills<br />
while training for their high school<br />
equivalency. The accelerated program<br />
targets in-demand jobs and also offers<br />
employer-recognized credentials.<br />

For more than 100 years, Hinds Community<br />
College has remained focused on providing<br />

Hinds CC has six locations that serve<br />
Claiborne, Copiah, Hinds, Rankin and Warren<br />
counties in central Mississippi. Those who<br />
