Nicole O'Loughlin ARTIST STATEMENT Nicole O’Loughlin is an interdisciplinary artist who works across a variety of mediums to explore societal issues, pop culture and women’s issues. She works across textiles, painting, drawing and printmaking. Using traditional media in a contemporary context Nicole challenges the idea of craft and pushes back against the industrialisation of the hand made. ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Nicole was commissioned by contemporary feminist artist, Kate Just, for a piece as a real life example of the Covid 19 quilt project, for display at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney. Her Covid Quilt is represented in the Museums Victoria Collection (2021).
