Just when we can’t possibly
pack much more into the first
month of summer, we are
surprised by the never-ending
whirl of activities!
From Memorial Day
celebrations to Music on the
River, graduations, picnics,
softball games, and getting
those last flowers and plants
planted, Lawrenceburg has
been a buzz of activity.
Congratulations to the 2023
class at Lawrenceburg High
School.
May you enjoy a fun-filled
summer before you start a
new life working or college or
traveling! Speaking of traveling,

grad, just took a memorable
Hawaiian vacation this summer
with her family. Along
with the beauty of the islands,
they will long remember the
best pancake house on Oahu
with the amazing coconut
syrup! (My family still has
this syrup shipped to us!)
The Civic Park in Lawrenceburg
has certainly gotten
a workout this summer. Music
On The River has attracted
enormous crowds with wonderful
split-the-pots.
Movies in the Park are a lot
of fun-- but bring a blanket.
No matter how hot it is during
the day, there is always a chill
in the air at night.
Prior to the kick-off of Summer
Fest, Central School girls
who worked so hard on their
Girls On the Run program
were finally able to achieve
their goal of running in a 5K
with the Laurens Burg Hill
5k.
After a disappointing
cancellation of their event in
Avery Lansing, Lilly Scott, Jemma Schulze, and Grayce
Gabbard enjoying treats at Summer Fest -Avery is the
daughter of Amber Lansing, Jemma and Lilly are the children
of Kim And Allen Duncan, Grayce is the daughter of
Christy Gabbard
downtown Cincinnati due to
the weather, a make-up day
in Lawrenceburg was a bonus
for them.
Lawrenceburg Main Street
did an amazing job with Summer
Fest. There were so many
food trucks that the choice of
what to eat was a difficult one.
Jean Foutch said the
lobster taco was amazing. I
left with regrets that I had no
room in my stomach at the
end of the day for that treat.

Whisky City Summer Fest
Celebration of Music.

I attended a church picnic
at the home of Sherri and
Chuck Heck this month.
Besides the wonderful pitchin
with “church food” (as my
daughter calls it), they displayed
their antique tractors.
The men were giddy with
excitement as each tractor got
fired up after dinner. Their
grandson Wyatt was happy
for me to snap a picture of him
with his “tractor smile”. Enjoy
your summer and may all your
smiles be “tractor smiles.”
