NIGERIA
• BICYCLE PROJECT - WiLAT
Ghana made a donation of
fifteen bicycles to nurses and
paramedics at Sege and Ada Foah
in the Ga West and East Districts
respectively in March 2023. This
team was led by Mabel Kabutey,
CMILT Ag. Chairperson. Also
present were the WiLAT Global
Advisor, Naa Densua Aryeetey,
FCILT and President of CILT Ghana
Engr. Mark Amoamah, FCILT.
• WiLAT Ghana was invited to
participate in the US-GHANA
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
conference and exhibition with
the Theme “The Power of Bold,
Innovate, Integrate and Inspire
in April 2023. The focus for this
conference was on Logistics, and
WiLAT Ghana played a major role
in the conference.
• As part of their CSR activities,
WiLAT Nigeria made donation to a
driver.
• INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
CELEBRATION- WiLAT Ghana was
invited by H.E Harriet Thompson,
British High Commissioner
in Ghana to an International
Women’s Day (IWD) speedmentoring
event.The program
was jointly organized by the UK
Department for Transport and
Women in Maritime of West and
Central Africa (WIMOWCA).
• WiLAT TAKORADI SECTION
LAUNCH - WiLAT Ghana led by
Ag. Chairperson launched the
Takoradi Section in March 2023 to
increase its visibility and empower
women working in the Logistics,
Supply Chain and Transport
Industry within the Region, for
the reason being that Takoradi is
one of the hubs for Logistics and
Transport in Ghana.
The CILT Intl. President -Elect Chief
Teete and CILT Ghana President
Mark graced the occasion. WiLAT
Global Advisor Naa Densua
delivered the keynote address.
• AFRICAN FORUM - WiLAT Ghana
participated in the 2023 CILT/
WiLAT African Forum which took
place in Kigali, Rwanda.
• WiLAT Members joined Hadiza
Bala Usman in launching her
book “ Stepping on Toes” in April,
2023.
• Launching Female cadet at
the celebration of International
Maritime Day.
• WiLAT Nigeria participated at
Maritime Academy of Nigerian
(MAN)
